They're the same thing. Wolfcastle is Schwarzenegger. I don't see why they renamed him Schwarzenegger, or why renaming the character is somehow funnier than the original name of the character. The point of the joke of having Schwarzenegger as President is not lost by making him President Wolfcastle instead.

The name Schwarzenegger is more marketable than the name Wolfcastle. That's basically it.

It's not perfection-the plot, the utilization of major characters, but damnit if you don't laugh at least 10 times during this film you're mad. And that's all I cared about going in. Laughed more than I have at 90% of comedies I've seen in theaters the last 5 years, and that's saying something. Fuck the people who went into this expecting to hate it if it wasn't 100% identical to the old episodes, and had an Oscar-worthy plot. It's the JOKES PEOPLE! WERE THEY FUNNY OR NOT?

Pretty good. Some things had me in hysterics, while other things that were trying to be funny didn't work for me. It was real hit and miss. But overall, the hits were solid - solid enough, at least, to make me feel satisfied with the money I spent. I won't see it again though; the jokes would not hold up a second time. The best part was Marge's monologue by far. I'm glad they didn't go subtle with this story-arc. It was hammered on pretty hard in the second act and it worked. The Bart/Homer dynamic was pretty good, but it should have been better.

It's this type of turn away from subtlety that lead to my rating the movie lower than I would have liked to. I don't need to be bludgeoned to get the joke, thank-you...

I really think that if you didn't find the movie funny, you simply were never a fan of the show. I would say the movie was perhaps caught 90% of the magic the greatest seasons had.

Thegun is right, guys. By acknowledging our favorite show's downslide into mediocrity or worse, we are showing our true colors: we were never fans at all.

Real fans like all the crap shovelled into their mouths.

I love when fandom takes on the 'with us or against us' mentality of the world's most evil politicians.

Really enjoyed the movie. There was a nice feeling throughout the movie that this was a huge cinematic event. The animation was top notch, without feeling overly "un-Simpsons". I like that the storyline was simple. I like that there weren't guest stars galore. The comedy was good, but obviously nothing compared to the Simpsons of long ago. I wouldn't necessarily rank it above a Simpsons episode of today, but it was still well-done in my eyes. I even shed a little tear someone in the middle of the movie. It's a Simpsons movie! How could I not?

Grade: B+

No I don't have a problem with that. I'll be the first to admit it. I havent watched the show on Sunday's since Season 12, but its such an overreaction by many people about how "Terrible the show as become." My point is I don't see how people can say the movie was as bad as the last couple seasons, when in fact it was more in line with the older seasons, as far as quality and humor wise. Call me an "Evil Politician" (good one by the way), but there its just odd that a true simpson fan couldnt find the movie funny.

this film was painfully average. I was hoping the movie would be able to bring back what made the first 6 or 7 seasons so great but instead u get an hour and a half of season 15, a few chuckles. There was nothing that really had me rolling on the floor laughing and most of the stuff i laughed at were minor things in the background and not the main jokes. I dont know how anyone can say that this movie is as good as the original seasons because its not. It's average

Who fucking died and made you the decider of who was a true fan, you don't see me saying if you oiked the movie you're not a true fan.

Posts like this are why I have grown to HATE actually discussing movies. When I tak about movies with people I know in real life and they loved it and I didn't, I don't get response like, you are not fan. Whatever happened to a difference of opinion.

Maybe I just thought the movie was ok, it wasn't the worst movie I saw, but it ot an A+ by any stretch of the means, but you are the new expert, next time I'll ask you tell me my opinion and forgo thinking for myself.

Very entertaining and easy to watch. I have been rolling through the Simpsons DVDs 1-9 (I just finished up 9), and thought the movie held up very well to those earlier seasons.

While most sitcoms turned into a movie feel like an overly long average episode that is only funny for the first 20 minutes, this one held my attention throughout and I never felt like I was ready for it to end.

I agree with all of this, except I thought it was well above anything the show has done since season 9 or 10. I was pleased. And the suicidal Bomb Robot have me laughing forever.
