Looking quite good for The Ant Bully and John Tucker. Miami Vice isn't looking so hot right now.

Return of the King, I believe.

Looking at the content of the Tucker reviews there's a pretty hefty amount of fake ones so it's going to be a fairly high ratio for the genre.

All movies have fake reviews though. Only if the grade is at a C or worse does it usually indicate that it's enough to have a major impact on the ratio.

I think the raw number of reviews are deceiving. When considering ratios, I think it looks like Ant Bully is doing well, and Miami Vice are doing okay so far (although I suppose it differs on Miami Vice depending on your expectations) and that John Tucker is doing so-so/poorly. I think that JT Must Die will have a ratio over 300+, so I don't think it is really doing too good. Ant Bully's ratio should be extremely low. And Miami Vice should be around 100, possibly even lower, so as long as it picks up tonight, it should be okay for at least a $20 million opening.

Does that make any sense? Xiayun, the master? Heh.

PEACE, Mike.

Well, at least MV is picking up, although I don't see it getting much more then 700 which could mean 5m-6m. JT looks like it could top 900 and about the same gross IMO. Ant Bully might get 300 for about 5m.

John Tucker won't have a 300 ratio. Like DP07 said, Stick It is a good example, and in general, the ratios don't usually reach those levels these days. Clerks II should have had a massive ratio but it didn't.

Yea, but isn't it a bit early? I mean its 7 pm here in the East. Give it some time. I don't think MV will end up with 5-7 mill Friday.

I dont buy Stick It being a good example for John Tucker, Tucker has way more hype on the internet then that film.

Good pace. Miami Vice should hit 800, while John Tucker getting pass 1000. I still don't see a ratio under 200 for John Tucker, but $5m does look safe.

At their current pace, I see:

Miami Vice - $6.5-7.5 million
John Tucker Must Die - $5.6-6.7 million
The Ant Bully - $4-5 million

That would be bad for MV. Its almost so similiar to last year where The Island and then a week later Stealth bombed except we use Lady in the Water and Miami Vice. LITW was kind of expected like Stealth but The Island is more like Miami Vice although The Island was the biggest surprise bomb

Much more considering it was a plain summer blockbuster, by Michael Bay and PG-13 rated...

No florida cops, house guest, midget, potheads, haunted house, bullies and water fairies can stop the Pirates. It takes one man to put a stop to them and his name is Ricky Bobby who only can count to #1

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this is the one time that the reviews won't tell the story. I don't think people that are seeing MV are rushing out to write reviews about it. It will still make about 27-30 mill OW.

You go out on a limb for a movie that seems like is doing medicore business but that you predicted would do well. SHOCKING! :hahaha:

im going to go out on a limb and say that crowd reports and even friday numbers dont matter, it just isnt a movie people will rush out to see opening day but will see it during the weekend. How does that sound?
