It depends on the film. MG is absolutely correct earlier about Clerks II. If a film has an internet-heavy fanbase like that, the higher the ratio will be (so 1000 reviews would be around $3-4m for it), but Monster House will have a much lower ratio because of its high appeal to kids who won't come online to review (so 1000 reviews would probably be around $10m).

The marketing was prettty bad. It was marketed as a superhero movie with comedy, there was no signs this was a romance. So guys dont wanna see it because it's a woman superhero and women dont wanna see it because it looks more like a superhero flick then a romantic comedy.

I think Lady is heading will get somewhere around 7-8 million Friday. Maybe 7 million for Monster House, and just below 5 million for Super and Clerks. Looks likes Pirates will be safe.

SUPER EX-GIRLFRIEND's grade has gone up to a B- It's sad that it is underperforming. It was an incredibly entertaining film. Hopefully it will have good legs.

Not really surprised at all concerning My Super Ex-Girlfriend. It looks absolutely horrible and the critics hated it (1 star, for example, in both of the local papers). Nonetheless, I will be seeing it tomorrow along with Little Man which I missed last week, Lady in the Water, and Monster House.

Actually, I am surprised how well Super Ex-Girfriend did with the critics:

I mean that's better than Dupree, The Break-Up, Nacho Libre, The Lake House etc. If anything, it did surprisingly well. I expected it to be blasted.

Still rotten though. Plus, Nacho Libre, The Break-Up, and Lake House were all rightfully panned. They were all awful films. This year so far has been pretty awful with a few exceptions ( Hard Candy, Brick, V for Vendetta, and Slither).

But you make it seem as if it was one of the most hated of the summer. I can just as well say that critics hated POTC2. It's rotten too, by the way...

I agree. 51% is a lot higher than I expected. I figured this would be in the 10-30% range. Even the rating is relatively high (5.6). For comparison's sake, Bewitched got 25% with a 4.7 rating, and it's COTC was even worse.
PEACE, Mike.

With the current numbers of reviews and some updates left I see around:
$6.5-8 million for Lady in the Water
$5.2-6.4 million for Monster House
$3-3.5 million for My Super Ex-Girlfriend
$3.3-3.9 million for Clerks II

Every single film that ends up rotten is to be considered awful then?

Not my point. My point is that this year has been a bad one for movies in my opinion. Only a few good films and MSEG looks like another bad one to add to the pile based on its ads, which should theoretically show the best parts of the film.

LitW already has 6.5m, it's ratio shouldnt be greater then 130, especially with this somewhat backloaded pattern it's showing. I think it's looking at minimum 8m max 10m

If Lady isn't able to do $20 m or more this weekend, I don't think it will do $50 m. His follow up to Lady In The Water has to be really, really, good. He needs to make a crowd pleaser like Signs. Also, if I were him, I would definitely try and direct one of the HP films.
