I expect the Da Vinci to average about B/B- by the end of the weekend.
That is, if these religious reviews stop happening. I didnt see that one coming to be honest.
There was a church group at my showing today :O

I think IA2 had more teens and adults, but a the same time it opened to almost 70 million. OTH should still make in the 40's I think.

Nice jumps for all, likely due to some of the earliest east coast shows wrapping up.

I was talking to my friend today and he was like, "DVC got a 17% on RT." And I'm like, "Ebert gave it a good review." And he was like, "17%! And then I said, "you're still going to see it aren't you?" "Of course I am."
Honestly, these reviews will not impact opening at all. Sure, instead of a 80/290 it does a 80/250. That extra money is just going to help Sony a bit more. In terms of the overall BO, DVC has done its job to reignite the slow BO of the past 2 weeks and to becominng the first mega-blockbuster of the year, which was what expectations were for it.
Don't be so sure. It should need at least 5,000 reviews to get $25m and that's a long ways off. Does anyone remember if Passion was on the Frontpage?

I dont think it needs 5000 reviews to assure 25 million. Dont forget the past month, the yahoo review updates have been acting really weird with the low numbers for MI3 and Poseidon. I would put alot more stock in crowd reports than yahoo

Yahoo didn't act that weird for Poseidon by the end of the day, as a ratio around 100 was perfectly reasonable and was projected at the beginning. I agree with Horlicks here. It'll be good to get to the 5,000 mark, given all the possible fake reviews and international ones. A ratio under 200 feels highly unlikely to me.
I do think the increases in the afternoon and night will be massive.

It's clogged. I would guess at least 2000 is the actual right now. We will see if it's backloaded like most adult thrillers.

Not an encouraging grade so far, but it's doing excellent.
Not too sure about Over the Hedge, though. I hope it picks up soon or it might make around $40m for the weekend, which is still good, but much less than I expected.

I would be shocked if it wasn't. I can see 7000+ reviews by night's end.

I am going to be so, so mad if it turns out I upped my OTH prediction from 43 to 53 for nothing.

Looks like those religious folks are making sure people go to See No Evil instead of Da Vinci.

I think I underpredicted See No Evil. I had $3.6m, and dropped it to $3.1m this morning.

Except that Goal was expected to have an incredibly high ratio, which it did.

And it almost doubled a lot of people's predictions at KJ, so it did overachieve. We realized early on that the pace isn't pointing to a $1m weekend.
Apparently See No Evil managed to get some midnight business at the last minute for notfabio's theaters, even surpassing House of Wax and another film I can't remember.

Let's hope so. It's been clogging fairly consistently around this time of day, it seems. DVC has 533 written reviews, so I'd say it's pretty jammed up.

It should be unclogged in the new two to three hours or so. Look for a big increase in the next hour, though.

Yeah, as I predicted, Da Vinci's WOM isn't looking too good. Though to be fair, I wouldn't be surprised at a good deal of fake reviews.
