I remember a certain Canadian team did just that a few years ago. ;)

So? It is still virtually unheard of. I believe the figure was only 4 times in the HISTORY of the NHL has that happened. Montreal's doing that a few years ago was therefore an extreme case. So, I maintain what I said: possible, but extremely unlikely.

PEACE, Mike.

Thank god the right team won, thank god there isn't 3 3-0 series, and thank god the Oilers still have life! The next game will be crucial though, if they lose they're pretty much finished, but if they win they're right back in it with a great oppurtunity.

The other 3 teams...bleh. I guess I like Buffalo, and Anaheim, but I wasn't imagining them winning the cup. If it's not the Oilers, I guess I'll cheer for Buffalo.

YESSSS OILERS!!! HOLY CRAP, it went to a 3rd OT!! Longest game yet in the playoffs then, if I'm not mistaken.

Edmonton is still very alive.

PEACE, Mike.

Can anyone else believe that the Oilers are gonna be the top Canadian team this year? Un-freaking-believable. They're doing better than the Sens right now. They're the only team that's losing right now that has a chance to win their series.

Yeah, it's fantastic.

I really want them to pull off this series and make it to the Western Conference Final. If they lose there, I'll be able to live, because getting to that final 4 is in my mind always a great accomplishment. I never remember any of the series in the 2nd round, but I can count off every team that's made it to the 4 in my hockey watching history. That would also seperate it from the Joseph runs in the late 90s, their best run since the dynasty ended if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah, I think so. I think they made it to the final four in 91, but lost to Minnesota (who lost the cup to Pittsburgh). If they were to win this series, the city would go insane. INSANE. You thought the Red Mile was crazy? That's nothing compared to what Whyte Ave. would be like.

Too bad they no longer have a team. It looks like there's quite a captive audience for one.

I bet Ottawa will win tonight. At the very LEAST they will win one game in the series. I just couldn't see them losing series 4-0. I hope I'm not wrong.

PEACE, Mike.

Man, those Buffalo fans are insane! I sure hope those glass partitions don't break and injure an entire section. It would teach them a lesson, though.

Ottawa wins!

They'll still lose, but at least they won't be the first team eliminated, and at least it isn't 10 straight losses against Buffalo now. Emery played real solid, especially that last robbery save.

Whew, Ottawa won. Exactly my thoughts Shack. I think Ottawa can pull out another win next game (at home) and then probably lose game 6 at Buffalo to lose the series.

PEACE, Mike.

What a relief!

Both teams were so evenly matched during the four games (with Ottawa vastly out-performing Buffalo in game two) that it would have been sad and painfully ironic to see Buffalo sweep the series 4-0.

Well, that's that. Anaheim has swept Colorado, winning tonight's game. Anaheim moves onto the Western conference finals!

Wow.

Anaheim has really surprised me this year. With no super Giguere and no Kariya, I wouldn't have dreamed that they could pulled off yet another serious run. Even in the playoff run, I just haven't been feeling like they have nearly as much power this time around. Brysgelov and Macdonald are fine replacements to the two above, but the team just hasn't seemed as...strong. I don't know, maybe I haven't been watching them enough.

Personally, I still prefer the 2003 Ducks, they just had more character. They were the absolute team I was cheering for those entire playoffs, even from the beginning. This year's Ducks... I still like them, but they're kind've blehing me out right now.

I think those still passing Bryzgalov off as a fluke are wrong. He has won 5 in a row now, and especially this game made some amazing saves. I mean, really great saves. He really kept Colorado away from having even a hint of catching up in the last few minutes of the game.

PEACE, Mike.

Don't knock Roloson. He's been solid this whole playoffs.

It's 3-3 now. It's been a crazy game. Samsonov's goal in particular was wacky. Glad the Oilers could tie it, though.
