The Longest Yard 26.1
Lords of Dogtown 5.7 (ouch)
Does anyone have a list of worst internal multipliers for a weekend? I bet LoD ranks pretty high up there.

Either Sony is being modest or Lords of Dogtown is hugely frontloaded, because that's a 30% drop from Friday to Saturday and we're not even in the middle of summer yet.
If that holds up, this might be looking at a drop near 65% next weekend a finish of under $15M.

Given last weeks estimate accuracy on the parts of the various studios, I'm gonna take a wild guess here and say that SITH will end up #2 when the final numbers come out.

I, too, think that Sith will end up as no 2 and TLY as no 3.

Madagascar weekend IM (3.45) was lower than Sith (3.59).

I knew LORDS OF DOGTOWN would drop on Saturday. I was predicting like 2.1 Million for Saturday though and a weekend of 6.5 Million. Oh well, happy to see it did worse .

Not a very good Saturday overall and lower IMs in general.
Lords of Dogtown's pattern is similar Dumb and Dumberer: http://www.the-numbers.com/movies/2003/DUMB2.php

Highly annoying. The one film that I thought I had nailed, turns against me and screws my predictions over so I lose in Domestic vs. International.
Bleh. Everyone rush out and go see Lords of Dogtown today!

It's more similar to Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie.

It did me in as well, and considering I increased it from 6.7 to 8.5 in the last moment... ](*,)

Ouch for Lords of Dogtown. Infact, overall, a very weak Saturday for almost everything.

Other than the top three and Crash, this turned out to be a pretty blah weekend.

Well there goes my derby....
What a disappointing number for Cinderella Man, for me personally.
And I officially hate Lords of Dogtown.
And The Interpreter.
And The Longest Yard.
PEACE, Mike

LOL! Same here - why did I predict 26.6m (Derby) and 28m (Dom. vs. Int.) for Cinderella Man?

I was sure Madagascar was going to get closer to $30 million than that, but an inflated Friday prevented that....
Not that amazing for Cinderella Man. Traveling Pants did blah and just wow on Lords of Dogtown.
Kicking and Screaming is having a lot of trouble staying afloat.

Skateboarding movies have a very esoteric audience it seems. Grind also dropped over 20% on its second day.

Good research. It will drop close to 65% next week for sure.

Wow... just noticed its total! That's really amazing that it already broke $100 million. I remember last year with the 3 $50 million openers in a row and that none of them could get $100 million by the end of their 2nd weekend. It was always close...
