I was guessing 25% for the Sunday drop but that could be too light of a drop.

You're joking, right? The change for Monster-In-Law is not huge at all, I don't know what you consider "huge". From $1.634m to $1.680m at BOM. Monster-In-Law is not going to increase much, if any, let alone $0.6 million from previous projections.

Lords of Dogtown, easily. Not only is Dogtown just that "type" of film, but Traveling Pants opened on a wednesday, which already softens the Friday frontloadness and allows for a better Saturday.

My guess is dogtown, everyone who wanted to see it should have by now I expect a drop anywhere between 5%-20%. If that is true than I totaly got a 0% in the film

Wrong, this film will increase 20% at most today, chech out other films of its genre, even the well recieved simiar films increase between 5-15% on saturday. Most of the wednesday films acually fall on saturday, but I expect sisterhood to over come that. BJs estimated increase for saturday: 5%-10%

I like BOM's numbers better. Looks like The Interpreter will finish right between 0.8 and 0.9M.

But you were piling on TLY before it came out yet in the end you still gave it a solid B. If it can turn haters like you around, why wont it have some good WOM?

Oh, and what I meant by "so good" for The Longest Yard was that it was a good movie, not a technically brilliant film...

Remember, TLY will likely increase on Saturday. Don't count it out of the #1 spot. I think it will be less than a million difference between Madagascar and TLY with TLY winning out.

The Longest Yard needs to have a 3.37x weekend multiplier to achieve $30 million this weekend (based on BOM's number of $8.9 million). It's not impossible, considering that it's going to have a better drop this weekend than Bruce Almighty, Friday was dead slow, so Saturday should see large increases (hopefully...), and Bruce Almighty had a 3.38x multplier.

BJs Estimates:
1. Madagascar - 32m
2. The Longest Yard - 30m
3. Sith - 29m

Hmm...I was thinking $25m when I was expecting a 6.6m friday. After 7.3, 24-26 is a very low projection.

Either that or everyone and their mother has seen SITH and it's over for that movie.. Put the fucker on DVD now and incorporate the deleted scenes back in the movie to make it even beter like Yoda landing on Dagobah.. That scene should've stayed in the movie for an even more fluid continuity flow..

I think so too. The increases will be similar to last year. Around 50% for most except for TLY which could be around 10-20%.
