 Re: November 1-3 Predictions
With the awful reviews, I could see Here doing single digits. It will definitely flop.
With the next major film release not being until November 15th, this should allow holdovers to see respectable holds. Smile 2 had a big drop this weekend, but I'm hoping it will recover over the next couple of weekends. Additionally, I hope Terrifier 3 will have some staying power beyond Halloween, especially with a Christmas theme to help keep it relevant.

 Re: November 1-3 Predictions
Surprised Here is getting such dismal reviews. I get it as it is a gimmick but thought Zemeckis would get more out of this.

 Re: November 1-3 Predictions
I'm more than convinced that Zemeckis has been replaced by a pod and has been living on the island from Cast Away the last 25 years. He has always been a revolutionary with new cameras and technology, but he doesn't use them as part of the story anymore, he makes the style the driving force and his quality has certainly suffered as a result.

 Re: November 1-3 Predictions
I thought Juror #2 was going to get terrible reviews since they're dumping it into 50 theaters, but reviews are actually good? All 9 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes are positive. This looks like Eastwood's most appealing film in a while, so it's really confusing why they're burying it.

 Re: November 1-3 Predictions
A snooze of a weekend made for some excellent drops for holdovers. Venom 3 -49%, Wild Robot +11% (!!, how?), Smile 2 -29%, Conclave -20%, We Live in Time -28%. Anora had a good expansion with a $7500 PTA in 253 theaters.
And with Here’s $5m opening, it only needs a 66x multiplier to reach Forrest Gump’s (unadjusted) gross from 1994. I think it can make it, just need to keep it in the same place showing endlessly for the rest of time.

Venom is easily going to be the most forgettable franchise to pass 1.5 billion

 Re: November 1-3 Predictions
I'll always cheer for movies like Conclave and We Live in Time to do well in this IP porn era, hopefully December has some sleepers like last year too though.

It would be funny if people went to see Luther: Never Too Much expecting to see Idris Elba.

 Re: November 1-3 Predictions
So clearly Venom remains well liked. Without the World Series and Halloween probably would have done mid 60s I think on a regular weekend. Not great but the studio gave it the worst release date of the year.
Conclave is doing crazily well. I saw it this weekend and can see why. Take out Friday and its Sat/Sun are down only -6.8% and -6.1% respectably. Feels like this is going to have a nice run this month.
Wild Robot's Sat was ultra impressive, bigger than all of its dailies last weekend and bigger than Fri/Sun from two weekends ago. A nice $150M finish would be good for it but Wicked/Moana will stop it from going any further.
Beetlejuice got the slight Halloween day bump but will surely miss $300M unfortunately without some type of insane holds. With the number of movies coming out going to be tough but still an amazing run. 3.98X multiplier from Beetlejuice 36 years ago unadjusted. Compare that to TGM's 4.07X multiplier from TGM 36 years earlier and essentially has been proven that there is a model to replicate TGM's unheard of run.
