 Re: Favorite Film Composer
John Williams Hans Zimmer Alan Silvestri Michael Giacchino Jerry Goldsmith
I agree with Magnus from seven years ago. Williams all-time, but Zimmer since Pirates 2. Interstellar is a masterpiece.

 Re: Favorite Film Composer
I love Danny Elfman's work. He originally had a very unique style that worked well with the films he was doing but now he has gotten to the point where he seems able to do everything well.

 Re: Favorite Film Composer
Hans Zimmer has Pirates and The Lion King in terms of ones that are super hummable. Could anyone direct me to any of his other ones that are hummable?

 Re: Favorite Film Composer
Very difficult to narrow it down to just one. Jerry Goldsmith is a master, but Hans Zimmer is also up there, as is Basil Poledouris, Philip Glass, Junkie XL, Bill Conti, and Ennio Morricone.
