Re: 2009 Major League Baseball Discussion
Players hit more when certain pitchers pitch. Surely as a baseball fan, you would've known this.

Go prove he gave up too many HR's?
He gave up 25 in 30 games.
This year he has given up 8 in 18, less than every other game.
The only year he had a great record with a lot of HR's was back in 1998.

Do you have "you are wrong" set as a hot key?
Because I think it's the only thing you say.

And you can't figure out that I'm not talking about just last night? Quote: and see you are ignoring any Red Sox positives, maybe cause they aren't very many. Not tonight there were. That's fucking obvious. The entire season though I'd say has been positive, and has been full of positives, considering they lost Dice-K and Wakefield, (who was on a roll with an 11-3 record) around the All-Star break. It's really odd to say this, but at the time he could've been considered an early front runner for the AL Cy Young. The fact that if the season ended today and they'd be in the playoffs, despite losing two of their starters is FANTASTIC. They're in good shape, especially if Wakefield can give them anything this month. Well again love being right and showing that I know the Red Sox very well. so you were so impressed with the 7-3 homestand, well I pointed out lets see how they do on the road, well 2-3 so far. and today Wake gave them his normal good game...but as i correctly pointed out before the game....Wake won't matter as the REd Sox Hitters aren't hitting. so another loss, LOL, but I guess you aren't worried yet as they still hold the W/C lead.

But as I said, it won't matter with the shitty way the Red Sox hitters are hitting. LOL. Too bad you can't make any good comments of what would make the Red Sox a better team other than your. Well I don't care as they still lead W/C.

You happened to be correct today. Congratulations. Would you like a trophy? How about you go apply as a columnist at ESPN. You're the leading sports expert after all (and yes, this was sarcasm). I'm sure they're looking for more writers. No, I'm stopping because you have an incessant need to be right all the time. That's why no one else is posting in this thread anymore. You ruined it. It's really pathetic. Is your life really that empty? And you're never willing to admit when your wrong which makes you a hypocrite. So what's the point in debating with you non stop? I'll go spend my energy elsewhere. Have fun now.

The Angels beat Greinke again. Wow, these Angels know that when facing Greinke, the picthers better put on their best game.

Munkie, Playoffs are there and Dodgers are just getting ready. Team is resting players every game. Kemp and Blake yesterday and Kuroda who with concussion and out for a month, just pitched a tune-up. And for being out a month, he pitched very good, just giving up 4 hits.
Los Angeles Dodgers 81 57 .587 -- Colorado Rockies 77 60 .562 3.5 > for Divison San Francisco Giants 75 62 .547 5.5 > for Wild Card.

Re: 2009 Major League Baseball Discussion
Hey Munkie, Sure Glad Dodgers Have 6 Games this month against shitty Arizona, 3-1 so far. And I wish my Boston buddy was still around so I could hear his views on why Beckett has sucked for a month. Told him at the beginning of the season Boston's pitching wasn't that great but he never listened and it has been a hard luck season for the Red Sox.

Re: 2009 Major League Baseball Discussion
Beckett allowed 3 runs in 7 innings.
That's pretty good. And it's only slightly worse than your own SP tonight against a WORSE team than the White Sox.

Beckett had a 1 run lead and is suppose to be one of the best pitchers in the league. Plus the Red Sox are fighting for a Wild Card. and he had 1 horrible inning that ruined his game > he is just lucky the last guy got thrown out at home so it was worse but in the end it was bad enough. Bottom 3rd: Chi White Sox - J. Nix hit by pitch - S. Podsednik singled to shallow center, J. Nix to second - A. Ramirez sacrificed to pitcher, J. Nix to third, S. Podsednik to second - A.J. Pierzynski grounded out to shortstop, J. Nix scored, S. Podsednik to third - J. Dye walked - J. Dye to second on wild pitch - M. Kotsay singled to shallow center, S. Podsednik and J. Dye scored - C. Quentin doubled to left, M. Kotsay to third, M. Kotsay out at home
