 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
The Pats are the biggest group of showboating pukes in the league, by far. Somebody needs to level Tom Brady into oblivion.

That 4th down play just showed it again. And Rodney Harrison needs to stop hitting someone when he is either down or out of bound; and I don't know what he was complaining.

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
I think if there was a "team of destiny" this year to win the Superbowl, it was the Jags. Neither the Chargers nor the Colts feel "right," and the only team I can picture winning in the NFC is Green Bay.

The Packers are the only team I'm afraid to play.
They have a great RB... and a great QB... and great WR's...
Ugh.

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
I think the Packers would have a shot at beating the Pats if it happened. It would be a very fun game. The dilemma for us Packer fans is if they win the Superbowl, I'm fairly positive Favre would retire, which would be sad for Green Bay and the NFL in general. He seems to be leaning toward playing at least another year, so if they don't win the Super Bowl, I think he stays for at least one more year. I want the Packers to win, and Favre to go out on top. And I would love to see the NFC championship game played in Green Bay. So, GO GIANTS!

Ugh. and great LB's, and great corners... and aggressive safties, and a great front 4 on D... it would be a great match. I think that matchup would come down to if the front four can sack Brady a few times to make them punt. I mean jeez, the Packers scored TD's on 6 consecutive drives against Seattle. That's impressive.

Team of destiny to me is a team with no hope entering the season and comes out and surprises all. Jags were expected to do well this year (maybe not do as well, but everyone knew they were playoff contenders and would probably get in). Patriots aren't really a team of destiny because people did expect them to win it this year. Albiet, not go undefeated, but win it. Packers are the team of destiny. People gave them no hope and now they are one step from Super Bowl. Let me amend myself: I meant team of destiny of the AFC

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
That was about as entertaining a game as you could ask for......for three quarters. Then it became immensly entertaining. And wow, that running game of the Jaguars - WATCH OUT! THEY'LL GET YA! No, honestly, the Patriots just shut them down. If it weren't for the overall very good game by Garrard, this wouldn't have been as close as 11. As a matter of fact, the Patriots should've won by 14 if Gostowski hadn't fucked up a 35 yarder - 17 if you include the would be interception by Rodney Harrison in the end zone in the third. Shoulda had that one. Doesn't matter though. The game pretty much went the way everyone was expecting.
One thing - Tom Brady 26/28, 262 Yards, 3 Touchdowns
Hopefully the Pats can come up with the same kind of effort next week, and also grab a couple of those would be interceptions.

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
The Jags defense was disappointing, they only needed one stop somewhere in the game and it would have been a nailbiter. Brady took what he could get. And I hope this game finally puts an end to this nonsense that Garrard in only a mediocre QB.
