Hairspray - 1,240 (416), +218 (+56), B+
I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry - 709 (102), +96 (+21), B-
Chuck & Larry isn't picking up pace at all, it's been consistent. But from what I've heard (at least in this area), it's been doing well. So I still think a sub-100 ratio is possible.

Yeah you're right, I remember something on HSX with Smith's name in it.

Yeah, looking at early numbers it looks sub-100 ratio to me for CHUCK & LARRY and somewhere around 150-200 for HAIRSPRAY.

Okay guys, you may laugh at me but I'm calling it. Hairspray will have a better friday than Chuck & Larry. There you have it. I'm thinking 10 Million vs. 9 Million

I see both in the $11-12m range at this point. Chuck & Larry should pull the win for Friday, and possibly for the weekend, since I think both will be frontloaded.

C&L has 7 times more ratings than reviews. Doesn't that point to a relatively higher ratio than expected or is this nothing unusual?

I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry - 855 (122), +35 (+4), B-
Look at this: Hairspray's grade goes up.

Hairspray indeed has had more impressive and consistent run today, and having the grade increase to A- now is amazing. $10m looks good.

Have you checked the written reviews on C&L, Xia? Many of them aren't even about the movie. Take away the fact that everybody is expecting good numbers for the movie and there is nothing that suggests this movie can have a ratio below 100.

7:1 ratio isn't bad, so I think a sub-100 ratio is still possible, but it's very likely Hairspray is winning today; its night pace has been strong.

Every film has a good amount of fake reviews or non-related reviews if you look into it.

And with that statement, Steve Mason hectically rewrites his Friday projections

It's sad because we all know it's true. He has to look at these forums since he does get xiayun's predictions every week for his scoreboard (which, by the way, xiayun has the highest Hairspray prediction).

1,560 and 872 for each respectively, so didn't add much during the final hour. $10m for both?

I truly believe that Hairspray will beat C&L if they end up with the same Friday number. I don't see Hairspray as being particularly frontloaded and I think it will play to a pretty big family audience over the weekend.
It's going to be a very close race between Hairspray, C&L and HP for placment within the Top 3. Should be fun to watch it unfold.

Harry Potter should be # 1 again, unless C&L and/or Hairspray have a 11.5M+ OD and Harry experiences a huge drop.
I'm thinking 11 for Chuck and 10.5 for Hairspray. I just (perhaps stubbornly) don't see Hairspray being above a Sandler movie.
