MTC pre-opens (again 98-99%) 2,300,315 for SPID3 -- nm

Darn it, couldn't get online from late last night until now.
Good projection, RT!

Thanks. I may have nailed it if we had the final update.

Spider-Man 3 has exactly 3,000 written reviews at the moment. 13,888 total, so pretty much the same amount of reviews as yesterday.

How do we know that some who saw it on FRI didnt rate/review it on SAT? I'm pretty sure not everyone returns home to rate/review a movie on the internet.

Yeah, that's exactly true. Past data shows that ratios tend to be higher on Sat because of that. So the same number of reviews on Sat almost always means a drop.

None of the openers appear to be breaking out - big surprise. Georgia Rule was on the front page, which explains a large percentage of its reviews. 28 Weeks Later looks to have no more than 100 reviews right now, so anything near $20M is out, IMO.

28 Weeks Later is doing fine as in $5m range, but not a huge $20m weekend type of breakout. Hard to say about Georgia Rule. The subject itself isn't a high ratio one, but Lohan is, and it did receive front page treatment earlier. Doesn't look terrible though.

I'll happily take that.

Thanks that sounds good for both. Not breakout good - but atleast no major disaster.

Is there any chance it can pick up greatly over the night? My derby is really screwed to hell if that's the case.

Georgia Rule has been alarmingly slow at night. I see only $2-2.5m.
