This redline campaign is pretty much the funniest thing ever. Is a slightly increased Redline grade going to make anyone see the movie?

Wow Daniel Sedak is actually outright admitting fake reviews/comments at this link (from his Myspace page)

Final numbers:

ATHF - 356 (57), +5 (+5), B-
Disturbia - 928 (129), +31 (+2), B+
Pathfinder - 261 (47), +7 (+0), C+
Perfect Stranger - 194 (49), +3 (+1), C+
Redline - 1056 (544), +12 (+4), C
Slow Burn - 75 (9), +1 (+0), C

Final projections:

ATHF - slowed down some the last 1/3 of the day. Low theater count and fanbase mean a high ratio, but 250-300 still puts at $1.2-$1.5m in gross. Should be front-loaded though.

Disturbia - impressive impressive pace throughout. A ratio of 130 gives a $7m day.

Pathfinder - around $2m.

Perfect Stranger - could be like The Shooter, but a ratio of 60 still only puts it at $3m.

Redline - well, that's a fun day for the film. the pace is definitely very front-loaded, and the later updates were much closer to what we expected, around 30 reviews an hour. I'd say an over 400 ratio and $2-2.5m.

Slow Burn - even deader than I expected. Bad grade, low theater count, certainly a big ratio. $0.2-0.3m.

REDLINE's ratio looking at early numbers is looking well over 500.

For the post earlier, QUICK LOAN FUNDING is owned by Daniel Sedak and is where he made his millions actually.

Last Friday's ratios:

ATHF - 356, $1,428,000, 249.65
Disturbia - 928, $8,838,362, 105.00
Pathfinder - 261, $1,700,917, 153.45
Perfect Stranger - 194, $3,864,154, 50.21
Redline - 1056, $1,529,818, 690.28
Slow Burn - 75, $257,357, 291.42

Pretty good day overall.

Fracture - 42 (2), B+
Hot Fuzz - 75 (9), B+
In the Land of Women - 65 (15), B-
Vacancy - 39 (10), B-

I'd give Fracture a ratio of 60-70, Hot Fuzz 200, In the Land of Women 150 (currently on front page), Vacancy 90-100.

Fracture - 96 (11), +17 (+4), B+
Hot Fuzz - 170 (11), +26 (+0), B+
In the Land of Women - 178 (46), +24 (+4), C+ (down from B-)
Vacancy - 111 (21), +21 (+1), B

None is breaking out except that Hot Fuzz will have the highest PTA. Both Fracture and Vacancy are looking at $3-4m, nothing higher. $2m for Hot Fuzz. Hard to say about In the Land of Women since it had front page and could be looking at a high ratio; in the $2-3m ballpark for now, but will see how it holds up at night.

That would make it one of the most predictable weekends on record.

2-hour:

Fracture - 155 (20), +59 (+9), B
Hot Fuzz - 235 (17), +65 (+4), B+
In the Land of Women - 243 (50), +40 (+0), C+ (down from B-)
Vacancy - 160 (26), +49 (+5), B-

I have a feeling that Fracture could be like Perfect Stranger and The Shooter with a ratio in the 50-60 range. Not getting similar vibe for Vacancy, so I think Fracture is definitely doing better.

If you're right, Virginia Tech will have played a BIG part on this weekend's thrillers, and Disturbia will have a bigger drop then it's excellent WOM would have normally made.

Disturbia should win the weekend with a 12+ weekend. Vacancy with 10 maybe, and so on an so forth. Tonights showing was pretty packed.

Disturbia was a PG-13 teen thriller that opened on and heavily promoted Friday the 13th and was overestimated by almost a million when actuals came out, so yeah, it was going to drop heavily no matter how good it was.

Still looks to be an easy #1 though.

3-hour:

Fracture - 217 (28), +62 (+8), B
Hot Fuzz - 314 (24), +79 (+7), B+
In the Land of Women - 288 (60), +45 (+10), C+
Vacancy - 221 (41), +61 (+15), B-

Doesn't look too good for In the Land of Women, dropping off the pace pretty dramatically.

Next is on the frontpage and its pace still blows - not a good early sign. None of the openers are off to strong starts. Kickin' It Old School could see a $1,000 (or less) PTA.

What else do you expect from the openers on the last week of April, a 30000 PTA?

Certainly not, but a sub-$1000 PTA would be decidedly poor for that film.
