Still look like 6, 3, and 2.5.

Yeah probably, although I wouldn't be shocked if any (or even all) of those numbers were lower.

Dead Silence will probably be lower. Saw had a ratio of 134, and with a lower screen count, the ratio is likely to be higher. It and I Think I Love My Wife look to be neck-in-neck with a Friday gross somewhere between $2-3m.

If I stick with the original ratio projection, I Love My Wife would be closer. At least the pace did show early on it wasn't doing too hot. When Yahoo updates the raw numbers properly, it really is a nice tool.

Last Friday's ratios:
Premonition - 692, $6,341,302, 109.13
Dead Silence - 455, $2,878,975, 158.04
I Think I Love My Wife - 248, $1,746,309, 142.01
So far today:
TMNT - 153 (76), B
Shooter - 41 (7), B+
The Hill Have Eyes 2 - 52 (9), C+
The Last Mimzy - 31 (1), B+
Reign Over Me - 33 (4), B+
Pride - 26 (5), B-
The Last Mimzy is on its way to have the lowest written percentage ever, so look for a very low ratio (40-50). TMNT must have had some frontpage exposure; I had it around 80-90. 70 for Shooter and 80 for Reign Over Me given the latter has a smaller theater count. 130 for The Hill Have Eyes 2, and 100 for Pride.

That is surprising for TMNT, could this do better than most people expected? I was thinking more along 17-20 but I wonder if maybe it could do higher like 25-30.

Is this looking good for Hills Have Eyes 2? considering most people
will attend the ..after 6pm... showings?
I'm praying that this does $12M+.
By the sounds of reviews...from Dread Central, Bloody Disgusting
and Arrow In The Head....it's supposed to be a diabolical movie though.

Seriously? Of all things you could pray for, that seems a bit weird.

Kins wants horror movies to do well, something they haven't been as of late. The horror genre really seems to be fading in popularity, which is really disappointing for those like me who like it.

Could part of the reason TMNT jumped out to a quick amount of reviews be because of the limited Midnight showings it received? Also have to believe that some of those are fanboys hyping the movie.
Joe I don't believe it is as much as Kins wants horror movies to do well, but more likely that Kins might have some money on the line hoping it does over $12 Mill.
I am a huge horror fan like yourself Joe, and it is very very sad that the genre is being flooded lately with volumes of crap. I am looking forward to the Grindhouse movies though, even with the ridic running time.

2 hours:
TMNT - 184 (89), +31 (+13), B
Shooter - 47 (6), +6 (-1), B+
The Hill Have Eyes 2 - 69 (13), +17 (+4), B- (up from C+)
The Last Mimzy - 41 (2), B+
Reign Over Me - 41 (4), +8 (+0), B+
Pride - 35 (7), +9 (+2), B-
The fanbase could definitely have an effect on TMNT, given the good Internet signs it had been getting and the high # of written reviews. Shooter needs to pick up some pace. It is a night movie and will have a low ratio, but I'd think it still needs 300 reviews for a $5m day.

yeah thats surprising about the Shooter. I would think Walberg would have at least made people see the movie but I guess the old saying goes about straight shooters being duds

It looks like it's getting lost in the shuffle between getting scared away from its March 16 date by 300, and having to contend with a gazillion other openers this weekend.
It also didn't really have enough to stand out tremendously. I mean, I want to see it sort of, but only because Mark Wahlberg is gorgeous

3 hours:
TMNT - 258 (97), +74 (+8), B
Shooter - 81 (9), +34 (+3), B+
The Hill Have Eyes 2 - 121 (18), +52 (+5), B-
The Last Mimzy - 86 (11), +45 (+9), B (down from B+)
Reign Over Me - 66 (10), +25 (+6), B+
Pride - 57 (9), +22 (+2), B-
Having The Last Mimzy beating you at this point doesn't look good for Shooter at all. Shooter still should get a better bump from late night business, but looks like a low teen gross at best.

Shooter well, shot itself in the foot by switching from last weekend to this crowded weekend.. Even with 300's second weekend, it would have had more room to breathe last weekend vs. female skewing Premonition...
Unless ofcourse the numbers above indicate a 20 million open for the Last Mimzy.. yeah, I didn't think so either...

It's certainly the best performer of the day. I'd say $5-6m.

Well TMNT deserves all the money it can get as its a good film.
Shooter - well it was silly moving it to that weekend. It would have been better off against The Hitcher in that lame mid to late January we had.
Hopefully the studios will learn that glutting the market doesnt work. Look at the difference between early May - three films in two weekends (Wild Hogs, Zodiac, BSM and 300) - Two may have dissapointed or had limited appeal - but two will go well over $150m. I understand they just have BO appeal - but the less crowded the better.
