41/156, although I wouldn't be surprised if it's lower. And it had so much potential...

Hmm, I still think it's passing $200 million due to being the big family movie of November.
Opening weekend - $49.5 million
Total gross - $202 million

You know, I learned just today that Steve Irwin had recorded a voice for this film.... If people knew, that could boost sales at least a tad bit if WB chose to advertise it as Steve's final film...

Well I'm just looking at the trends so far all year, we've had literally all CG films feel at least somewhat a feeling of fatigue. Yet, there are multiple expectations of this film doing $50 m +, including $55 m at Box office reports early predictions chart. I think it will do well, but I see a smaller opening than that, and better legs. But if Cars goes below Pixar standards, Over The Hedge goes below DW standards, I think WB will feel some sort of fatigue at least, as Happy Feet will be the 13th and final CG film of 2006. Also, I think Penguins are starting to get a TAD overdone, with what looks like 4 or 5 major films from 2005-2007.

Happy Feet has more widespread appeal then any CGI film has all year. I don't think any of them up until now have had much teeanger appeal, but you ask someone at my high school and they think this looks hillarious. It's clearly big enough that Dreamworks and Disney are willing to have Santa Clause 3 and Flushed Away cannabalize each other's audience opening weekend to stay one more weekend away from this thing, and it has a very good chance of staying the same or increasing second weekend. If the reviews are good, I really think that this will be the breakout CGI film of the year. And I've been right about almost all of them dissapointing (Monster House being the only exception).

And Barnyard. That opened above expectations, had the best legs of the year and will probably outgross Monster House.
