Covanent is a PG-13 movie aimed at the high school age audience. It will do much better this
evening. I wouldn't count it out yet.

Like most movies aimed at this demographic, I have taken this into consideration. Keep in mind that 400 reviews from 12:30 would be a multiplier of 6.78 - one that's difficult (but not impossible) to achieve this time of year.

Doesn't appear to be clogged so far.

Wouldnt The Covenant be like higher than Emily Rose and 100? I mean its demographic are teen girls which is quite high like for movies like Tristan & Isode and John Tucker?

John Tucker and Tristan & Isolde are not good comparisons. The Covenant is more similar to Emily Rose, The Grudge, etc. PG-13 "horror" ratios aren't as high as films that are actually aimed at teen girls. This is a mix of all teens.

The Covenant will get about 120 ratio... methinks...
So here's to hoping it gets over 700 reviews....

It doesnt look like a straight horror either. The Craft wasnt exactly horror either so its different to gauge than say horrors like the Grudge

It would help if we knew the quadrants for tracking, but I don't know if anyone outside of notfabio has that info.

Ugh. My gamble of going high on The Covenant isn't looking good.

School gets out when? 3pm? Last matinee shows are too early to draw much audience
unless it's a huge movie. So the reviews should really pick up after the first evening
show ends on the West Coast. I think this is going to be very heavily skewed to night
shows.

And the similarities between The Covenant (action/horror, not straight-up horror) and Tristan & Isolde and John Tucker Must Die are really jumping off the page, right?
It's an action/horror flick, kinda like Underworld (obvious comparison), but with a PG-13 rating and a cast that will primarily attract more teens than Underworld's audience. It's not like it's a chick flick, which would most likely draw at least 70% female audiences. There should be an even split here, and if leaning towards females, not by much to give it a chick flick ratio. It looks like it's doing not doing well anyways, so with the ratios you're suggesting, it's going to make like $4m this weekend.

It's time to kick back some drinks and wings, so if someone can take over, it would be much appreciated.

Does look somewhat clogged. The written reviews are now accounting for a higher percentage.
