In just 8 months, we had the Friday record go from $39,406,872 (Spiderman 1), to $40,118,363 (HP4), to $45,102,265 (Xmen 3), to $55,500,000 (POTC 2). So its 41% higher than just 8 months ago.

Yeah, unfortunately that was the 1st thing that came to mind and I However, POTC 2 Friday Opening is Staggering in Monumental Proportions that will raise the bar for SONY and SPIDERMAN III to kick it into high gear next May 7th, 2007 to try their best to outdo this opening.. I think SM3 can do it if it really looks THAT good like early indications seem to point to.. Will see.. In the meantime, I wonder if Singer's on Suicide watch??
