I don't know of any theater around here that had them. I don't see that steep of a Saturday drop either, I think it will be even or slight above. Really WOM won't kick in until Monday.

Okay I can see that, though I don't see it making 30. I am thinking 26-28. and probably like 26-27 on Saturday going towards a 75 million OW.

This movie is selling out more showings saturday than it did friday where Im at. I dont see the logic.

When I was out tonight, about 15 people asked me if i liked the movie, five of which were over 40.

Sith was simply crazy, averaging almost 600 per hour for the whole day. It started out with more than 800 reviews the first hour and never let down.

Ah, good times.

Was quite exciting pressing refresh button every minute or so. :-)

I think the difference with Sith and Da Vinci is that Da Vincis audience is much older and, well, Yahoo Movie Reviews is a nearly exclusively under 25 participated system.

I think I saw about a third of the audience there today under the age of 30. Everyone else was over 30.

Yep. Almost all senior citizens when i went this morning. Granted it was during the work day, but alot of students are on vacation, etc, and I still only saw people 35 and way up. The book club I sat in on last week was also all senior citizens. The yahoo numbers are going to be a bit misleading because of this, imo.

I just read over some of the DVC reviews on yahoo...
wow, some of teh most bizarre spam reviews ever, religious or not.

"In one scene, the monk liked a five year old boys feet....in another, the policeman looked a child porn....and why was the lead so gay? Didnt matter the angel of death descended upon him when the film finished"

Yeah...

Let's not go overboard here. We're probably looking at a $10m Friday on the high end, and it's in need of a huge IM (65-75% increase on Saturday) to break $40m, but it's not a failure in any stretch of imagination.

With all the reports of seniors dominating matinee shows and continous bizarre, I now can see the ratio being lower. Crowd reports are turning out to be more helpful today.

I can't see this droping on saturday, with no midnight screenings.

It probably will increase a little or in the worst case stay flat.

DVC's jump is even more amazing because it was at 2741 rightbefore the update.

It's looking a little better for Hedge, although the crowd reports disagree somewhat. I'm guessing around $10-11m opening day and $38-40m this weekend.

I think thats about right for OTH Zing. I'd also expect it to hold station and maybe lose less than 10% next weekend for the 4 day weekend.

This looks great for Cars!!!!

So they can talk about how blasphemous it was when they go to Church on Sunday. If they didn't have DVC to talk about, what would they say at crusty old church?
