Generally agreeing with DP: over 400 for American Dreamz, 180 for Silent Hill, and 100-120 for Sentinel.

I am really lost as to why American Dreamz will ahve such a high ratio.. can you clarify for me?

Two main reasons are the low theater count and the fact that it has a picture on the Yahoo! main page. Plus it partially skews to a more adult audience.

180 is kind of low for Silent Hill. You would think it would have a much higher ratio like Resident Evil since they are both horror games

Tweens make up the high ratios

Resident Evil: Apocalypse had a mad rush of reviews opening day. I think it reached over 4,000, which is not what we're seeing with Silent Hill, obviously. 180 sounds reasonable.

Silent Hill, 281, +25 B+
The Sentinel, 81 +5 B-
American Dreamz, 146, +14 C+
Friends With Money, 249, Friday 12, +2 B-

* 2 reviews were removed from Silent Hill and American Dreamz, and 1 from The Sentinel. I have corrected the counts for this update.

3,371. Just because we don't see a mad rush for Silent Hill doesn't in itself mean the ratio should be lower, could be that the demand is simply less :) That having been said I think 180-200 might be on the cards. The last Resident Evil was indeed not only a video game adaptation but a sequel.

I'm just going with round numbers for the ratios today.

Sentinel - 100
Silent Hill - 200
American Dreamz - 500 (with grade/reviews bad, low theater count, Mandy Moore,
and Idol fans, it could actually be higher, but I'll stick with it.)

Which of these would be expected to have the most activity later tonight? I'm guessing Silent Hill will, given the demo that's likely to see it.

A nice jump for Silent Hill. I'm out for today - have a good one, all.

Silent Hill should get progressively better as the day goes on...I never really even tried to learn how to decipher these numbers, but how is it doing right now along with Sentinel compared to similar movies?

Inside Man and Firewall were both at less than 100 at this point, but also didn't have frontpage. If I had to guess right now, I'd say it's going to land right in the expected $13-15 million range for the weekend.

Frontpage effect usually frontloads the ratings in the day. Here's the #s for this year. Sorry for the formatting woes.

Friends With Money is kind've doing crappy eh? I have no idea about the ratio, but only 17 reviews isn't very good any way you look at it.

Looks like Silent Hill's looking at $20+ million for its opening weekend. At a guess, I'll say Friday numbers will be something like $8 million.

It should be noted, however, that I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about.
