I actually think Lucky Number Slevin's ratio could be a lot higher than the projected 200. Other than the factors just pointed out, it's also has lotssss of internet fanbase. It's been riding high on moviefone all week. Something tells me this kind've film is the one to attract reviews...

Lucky Number Slevin also was the only movie with a picture on the main page earlier, if I recall correctly. Yahoo's main page is completely reconfigured btw, it's giving me a headache.

I'll be sad when Take The Lead beats Slevin...
I saw TWO ads for TtL for the past month or so... I've seen at least an ad a day for Slevin. And it looks miles better
Stupid dancing movies

Take the Lead should make $4.3-5 million on Friday. I don't see less than $7 million for The Benchwarmers.

The best way to describe Take The Lead?
Chicago Tribune, Michael Phillips
"The latest ballroom dance-fever picture isn't very good, but some of the dancing is fun. There. The review is finished."

Maybe studios will realise that spelling your movie name like you couldn't even be bothered looking in a dictionary is not the best sales pitch, regardless of your demographic.

Both are on the front page. Scary Movie 3 had a ratio near 220 near the end of it's run. Since ratios are lower for opening day, I would guess it was between 100-150. However, since then ratios have increased. With a picture on the front page I'm going to guess it will be near 300.
The Wild might have 70 without the link, so with it I think it will be at 100 or so.

David, what do you think of the ratio for Thank You for Smoking? I'm thinking 120. R-rating and front page could push it higher, but being out 4 weeks already should've sucked out all the indie votes.
I'd go a little higher for The Wild, in the 120 range at least as well, due to the comparatively smaller theater and print counts. I think the frontpage link could have a higher effect here.

My guess is with some spillover from previous weeks it would be 125 without the front page and about 160 with it.
I wonder though whether there can be an effect due to this being easter weekend. I suspect it will lower the ratios. Higher BO numbers will cause more reviews, but the increase in reviews will be less proportionally then the increase in the BO. When I used to track daily numbers Sat would always have the lowest ratios. So, that might take 10% or so off the ratios.

Holy shite for Scary Movie 4. If this isn't some mistake on Yahoo's part, then this movie is doing great.
The Wild and Smoking both seem to be doing quite nicely as well.
