Scary Movie looks headed for about $44M. The Wild will be lucky to do more than $11M.

Good opening for SM4, and I knew people were overestimating when they were saying 20-22 million.

That's nice for Ice Age 2, isn't that above expectations?

Good call by DP07 predicting that TYFS was an exception and would not gross as much as Yahoo Reviews indicated.

I think so, Im pretty sure people had it at a 5 mil friday. Also good for Inside Man and The Benchwarmers. Oh and by the way is this a 4 day weekend or a 3 day?

Even despite Easter, this weekend should remain way ahead of the same weekend last year.

I assume Easter results in lower grosses for family films. I'm not sure how it affects older audience films though.

That's pretty bad for The Wild, won't even reach 10m.

I had it at 10.6, just a gut feeling, when most people had it at almost twice that, so that's good for me. However, I apparently underpredicted Scary Movie too. Well, we shall see. I am anxious to see the estimates.

I went w/ $11 m for the Wild, but I knew even that was optimistic. I don't know where that $20 m + avg from the derby came from, nor the high hsx price. This film had no + buzz whatsoever...
Good for Ice Age 2, its chances at $200 m have gone back up, but I think it'll fall a bit short.

Look pretty good to me. Could someone who can, update the calculator? It's still on last weeks films.
PEACE, Mike.

Great for Scary Movie. It should make closer to $45 million this weekend and finish with just over $100 million total.
Not too good for The Wild. I shouldn't have raised my prediction at the last second.

Thanks!
The only thing I think may be off in your projections is a 2.8 multiplier for Failure to Launch. Seems too much. But what do I know.
PEACE, Mike.

If Ice Age II follows Robots pattern from last Easter, it should make atleast $19 million over the weekend.

Ah, lets leave it be for a while. Updating even just one number makes us enter all the numbers and names of movies again.
And it will get $2.8!

I can't help but find it amusingly ironic that Disney axed its 2-D animation in favor of movies like this one, when this film looks to be headed for a lower opening weekend than Return to Neverland, Home on the Range, and Treasure Planet.

Wow, I thought The Wild would be a smash
I guess 3D animated movies aren't guaranteed at hitting $100+ million anymore.

BOM's number for SM4 is much larger, at $19,150,000.
Fantastic for ICE AGE and BENCHWARMERS
