Very impressive opening last weekend in just 149 theatres and compares favourbly against Oscar standouts Munich, Walk the Line and Memoirs.

Very dissapointing release strategy by the distributors here in Australia. It started off in limited theatres, which is fair enough.....however, they failed to capatilise on its pre-Oscar buzz and it's still in less than 100 screens in Australia. Comparatively Munich and Walk The Line all had wide releases......with the latter doing extremely well (AUD$12m after 6 weeks). This could've been a $10m contender.

Taiwan is Ang Lee crazy, and after his Best Director's win at the Oscars, BM adds 4 new screens in Taipei and jumps 187%. BM now surpasses 2004's surprise hit Phantom of the Opera and Fun with Dick and Jane. 50m TWD is not out of the question.
