I would love to see Bono take another crack at a title song, I like the Goldeneye lyrics.

Then there's Robbie Williams, but Im not sure if his voice is sullen enough for what is sure to be a depressing film.

I would love for Radiohead to do it. Maybe if they end up scoring A Scanner Darkly, they'll catch the bug.

Radiohead would be pretty cool. As would someone like Rufus Wainwright. Ooh, for that matter, imagine what Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds could bring to the table!

Costello with or without the Imposters would be great. The North and Delivery Man albums were almost perfect.

Burt Bacharach could write the song, since he's so chummy with Costello

Well considering Duran Duran influenced quite a few bands that are playing now(Even the singer from Stone Temple Pilots and the Korn singer named them their favorite bands) they aren't in the quite in the outdated category as say Sheena Easton or Gladys Knight.Not like I would put them in same cringeworthy category as Britney Spears or N Sync, they do somehow to others belong in the same cringeworthy category as maybe Coldplay which acts like a silent guilty pleasure

Anyhow back the question, I do agree that Radiohead should do the next track. I listened to one of their b-sides "manowar" and it sounded very Jame-Bondish

Actually, after listening to They Might Be Giant's "Dr. Evil" song from Austin Powers, I want them to write it, and get a good female vocalist to sing it!

There's Portishead who are the very definition of cool spy. But I think they may have broken up.

hehe, I just "got" Guerolito last time I went to the "store." I haven't listened to much of it, though. I'd be interested in hearing a BeckBondSong, but really have no idea who'd make a good next and just said that cuz Beck > all...

Come to think of it, The Divine Comedy would do a brilliant Bond song.

There's really no reason for them not to ask Coldplay.

I know a lot of people don't like Coldplay... it's understandable, but they are popular and mid-ranged enough to be able to produce a Bond song.

There are so many Bond compilation CDs in my collection its embarassing.

You can get remixes, straight cuts, instrumentals, a search on Amazon will yield quite a few gems for you.

I'm probably one of the biggest Coldplay fans around so seeing them on board should excite me.

My problem is that everything points to a really somber, straight edge, Bond film and Coldplay are too....light.

Doves would be a good choice IMO. They are like a darker (and more artistic) Coldplay.

I'm in favor of the producers making Bond more British.

"What If" and "X&Y" is the closest thing Coldplay has to a Bond sounding song at the moment.

Also... sue me, I think "The World Is Not Enough" was one of the better Bond songs.
