How many theaters is it in right now? Just outta curiousity.

I'm not sure, actually. The number 2664 popped into my head, but that's probably not it.

It will dip a bit, but they'll keep it in theaters. It's Golden Globe wins (yes, Pheonix and Picture and Witherspoon will win at the Globes) and likely Academy Award nomination will happen on a Sunday and Monday in late January and fuel it enough. I'm comfortable with the 93ish I predicted but it will probably do more.

It's still got to perform pretty well, but the film had a lot of teeth and it was a fun picture so... good for it.

The film will obviously pass 100 million by now. As I mentioned in an earlier post, WTL will be in theatres for the next 2.5 months or more so it has nothing to worry about.

Hmmm...this could lead to a drop up to 60% this weekend.

I said it would be close. ;) It's legs though have generally been weaker then I expected. It's not a lock for 100m.

It will stahd at just above $86 million by before Monday hits. By the end of the year it should hit $90 million, but it will ned really strong awards push in order to cross $100 million from then on.

Hey, retard??? Are you going to seek help for your problems with obsessions? You've already ruined the members here getting any charts posted for them because you're an idiot, are you looking to ruin their time here by getting me to attack you every time you post? One more comment from you to me, and that's what will be happening.

Get some professional help.

Lecter, he is a fucking weirdo. I can imagine him being the type that has no friends and gets made fun of. He's free to post the theater count, but what he did was once again single me out. One more comment from him to or about me, and I'll make everyone of you miserable without attacking you, too.

What did he do? I could have posted the same thing. Obviously he singled you out, it's your thread actually.

If you posted it, that's a bit different. The little weirdo has followed me around to every thread focusing on me and making mention of me like some idiot who can't help himself.

C'mon Mav, why should you get so worked up over what some guy over the internet who is my age says? My generation is largely an intricate combo of whiners with undescended ballsacks and knuckledraggers. 99% of them should be ignored.

All that's gonna happen now if you all don't stop is that this thread will gain another two pages of useless insults and arguing that have nothing to do with the thread's topic and it will all end up with a thread in the Site forum, I suppose, so I suggest just stop now and avoid it all. That goes for you Shack, for you, Mav and for you as well, Zach.

The theater drop is one of the series of events that have put my doubt on whether Walk the Line will cross $100M by the end. As David said, the weekend holds haven't been spectacular, and with the loss in theaters, it'll have a battle to get there.

It's listed at 1853 theaters right now, so I'm not worried about anything, and it hasn't even got to ride the Oscars yet.

Master and Commander stood at $76,826,537 at this very point, about $7.3 million less than Walk the Line. It finished with $93.9 million, so I'd say Walk the Line will make it, prodivded it gets the same kind of a re-release as M&C did.
