Heh, I'm just teasing, though it was quite ironic.

That's exactly what it's designed for, so players can manage the estimates as a community and get instant feedback on how they did compared to others, etc. Happy to see it being used!

Still don't have full Friday numbers but Alvin should obviously be higher. Taking into account 5.4 boxoffice estimates it should be at least 7.1-7.2. On the other hand MI4 and Joyful Noice projections look overestimated.

Yep, BOM's estimate for Alvin is higher than what Nikki was looking at (since it was outside her top 100. A $1.165 million Friday should be good for at least a $6.8 million 4-day. Fixed the rest based on BOM estimates, until ERC posts their weekend estimates.

Ha, this is about the first time ever I've gotten a 4-day weekend prediction right.

Thanks, almost famous! You did pretty awesome, yourself! If it hadn't been for Dragon Tattoo, you would have one easily!

I think it was Proud Ryu who suggested the Relative Score, and I really, really love it. I was looking today, and I think it's going to be such a cool metric to tracking who does the best while excluding missing weeks.

Yeah...that's a nice tool to measure players' relative strength. It'd be great if the formula for calculating the Relative Score is provided alongside the score table.

It's currently in the How To Play section, not sure where I could put it by the score table, maybe work a link in somewhere. It's a really simple formula: Your score - Average for Week. That's your relative score for the week, then it just sums your relative score for all weeks in the quarter, year, etc where you played.

I think the example in the How to Play section does a pretty good job at showing how well it does providing a reasonable metric to see how you're doing.

First off, you can just glance and immediately tell if you're above or below average by virtue of a positive or negative score. From there, you can quickly rank yourself vs. other players, even if you've missed a week. The missing component is games played, which we don't show currently due to space constraints. We could always remove the relative scores for openers / holdovers on the year / quarter charts and make room for additional info like games played, etc.

Wow, that was quick, only 3 weeks to win my first game. It took me 2 years to win a game at BOM.

For Ledge I guessed 20.5 but the estimate is 7.3 and I got a 0. Is that correct?

Yep.

1 - (Actual - Prediction) / Actual = Percentage

Somewhat like Price is Right, underpredictions are always better than overpredictions.

After bombing last week because of using 4-day numbers thus over-predicting almost every movie by hefty amount, I managed to under-predict The Descendants by half nearly. I never seem to gauge the movies that expand. Sigh!

Descendants was my worst derby score as well - I thought it would be a lot lower since it already received a hefty awards bump last weekend.
