Oh and I see The Aviator pulling a GONY here. The only real chance it has at winning, IMO, is Best Sup. Actress.
Thats what I think too. GO CATE!
Bill got alot of the editing nobs, etc, that Eternal didn't, I still don't think that takes it out of the running. It also still has a kind of feel good ending heh?
Its nice to see how different the best pic noms are than award shows this year, its making it very tricky to predict the win.
Its also between Moreno and Braff for breakout performance. Its literally going to depend on which film got more viewers, but they're pretty close.

I think since Moreno was not only nominated for Best Breakthrough, but actually also for Best Actress, she's a pretty sure call for Best Breakthrough.
Eternal Sunshine might very well win Best Picture, though. It's really between it and Kill Bill Vol. 2 I don't think too many here saw Million Dollar Baby and Collateral as well as The Aviator definitely weren't nearly as overall beloved as Kill Bill Vol. 2 and Eternal Sunshine.
Oh and I think Natalie Portman (in Closer) will edge out Cate Blanchett for Best Supporting Actress, unless there is a split of votes for Portman (because of Garden State/Closer)

Would be interesting if not a single Oscar winner won tonight.

Let's all just promise that if a lot of the winners do match the Oscar winners...
1) We'll first consider that, hey, maybe these were the best performances/films/screeplays of last year.
2) THEN complain.
Or...yanno, do whatever you want.

I am very sick with coughing and fever and everything that belongs to that, so I won't be here for the entire show, but I'll REALLY try to make it for my presentation.

95 after Cinematogrphy. I didn't include the Entertainer of the Year, because it was a tie, and I'm not sure how those are figured. I have Both Jamie and Ben at spots 4 and 5 respectively, so it doesn't help my score much. I'mm thinking it'll be an average of the two, so I'd get 1.5 points from it, but, like I side, I don't really know, so it's not included.
My average for Cinematogrophy would be 2.5, but, like Entertainer, it isn't included.

Sorry I haven't been able to calculate everybody's score. And I won't be back until late Monday night. I'll try to get it done by the end of next week.

Oh, for the tied categories, we will just take the average of the two, as insomniacdude suggested.

First the correct answers for bonus questions:
2. What movie with 4 or more nominations will have the highest winning ratio (relation between the number or nominations and wins)? Spider-Man 2 (3 out of 6, 50%)
3. What movie will win the most awards of the night? Million Dollar Baby
4. How many awards will it win? 4
5. What movie NOT nominated for Best Picture will win most awards? Spider-Man 2
6. What movie nominated for Best Picture will win the least awards? Collateral
7. How many ties will there be for the winners? 2
8. How many awards will the 5 Best Picture nominees win combined? 10
I will check the answers for the tie-breaker questions if there are ties, and I will calculate the scores at this time.

There were Bonus questions? I never checked back after I predicted but at that time there were none... Darn! But since I had MDB way back in all categories, I wouldn't have had a chance anyway

Since micasey didn't answer any tie-breaker questions, I'm declaring Dr. Lecter as the winner, although micasey showed amazing prediction skills by getting 156 out of possible 170 points on the first part alone. Congrats to both of you! Thanks everyone for participating.

If you make 10000 posts in 5 months, you should have a pretty good idea of what most of the board likes.
Congratulations, Lecter.
