Congrats to Shawn for his win this weekend, and Michael for his continued dominance for the yearly chart. As for me, even after missing a game, I am still in the top ten. Amazing.

Are you playing again in 2011, BJ? If I remember correctly, you mentioned possibly going on a break?

Are you playing again in 2011, BJ? If I remember correctly, you mentioned possibly going on a break? Indeed i was very sad to see scotts predicts for some reason didn't make it through, as he never forgets to predict, Top 10 finish is still excellent all the same, the averages last year were mind boggling. Ive decided to continue till i get my average rank under 100, should take a while as my average last year was in the 85 range, Im hoping this coming year to get it back down to the 65 range I was averaging in 09. I think two more years of predicting should do it, I'm hoping my lagging 2010 doesn't continue in 2011. If I'm still having fun with it after that I'll continue, but I was extremely board with it last year, simply going through the motions, but we're currently in my favorite time of year to predict, gotta love jan-feb YAY! KJ at the derby 2010 = unbeatable, congrats all

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
Congrats Shawn for the final win of the year.
And even though the final two games aren't included, it's a foregone conclusion: Congrats xiayun for winning 2010! And to all KJ members for predicting dominance.
What a high scoring year - crazy. No previous year had an 85%+ winner, and look how many broke 85% in 2010. I wonder if 2011 will see more of the same.

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
Thanks, guys! Also, here are the current top 25 average scores for 2010. I started tabulating them over at BOM earlier this year before The Tramp (formerly Avery Gentle) took over for me. This doesn't include the final game yet, but figured everyone might be interested. For purposes of weeding out occasional players and ones that skip out on "hard" weekends, we instituted the rule that a player had to have played at least 75% of the games to-date to make the list. (Minimum of 39 Games Played. 75% of 51 Games)1. xiayun (87.08%) | 51 2. True Gopher (86.56%) | 51 3. Scott Vasquez (86.49%) | 50 4. Corpse (86.48%) | 51 5. Omni (86.48%) | 51 6. I see we're predicting Gulliver and not Black Swan this weekend, though it's hard to see Gulliver beating it.

Yeah, not predicting Black Swan is definitely a mistake. Much more exciting than Gulliver's Travels.

Derby ave with BOM estimates is a stunning 90.8%. Getting beaten by the derby ave is not a great way to start the year.

I just did a random calculation and would stand somewhere between 88% but the numbering was all messed up because of Narnia and was a good high on Gulliver. Hope I can be in Top 100 this game

I was oblivious to the snow storm effect so hopefully that will increase the standard deviation for each film.

Nice job hitting the top 20 Thunder.
The winner was playing their first game - beginner's luck...?
Terrible Narnia prediction (among others) for me.
