Satisfied. Could have been a little higher if I didn't change Eclipse from 64 to 61 for the 3-day, but the last second change for Prince of Persia (1.3 to 1.2) was great.

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
On one hand, I'm a little disappointed as foreseeing larger-than-expected declines for holdovers didn't get fully rewarded because the bottom two went so much lower, but on the other hand, I feel I dodged a bullet as well since this could have been an easy weekend to pick up major ground in the yearly race.

I'm just glad to have a Thursday deadline again. I've never liked the Wednesday cutoff, and the last two horrid weeks prove why.

http://www.boxofficemojo.com/derbygame/derbyuserentry.htm?userid=5378&game=435All of my predictions were in the 90% range except for PoP, Shrek 4, and Greek. It would have helped if I had known they would be losing all those theaters. Thanks a lot, BOM. Congrats to xiayun, Corpse, and Omni, and anyone else who did fairly well this week.

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
With boxoffice.com's projections, plus the 0.7 projection from ERC for Greek, my derby would be 89.27% right now. That will likely go down a fair amount since it seems DM is underestimated and I have 2 100%'s with estimates.

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
The link I posted in my previous message went to someone else's game results for some reason. I've fixed the link, but if it goes to someone other than Trekker then it's not mine.

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
With studio estimates I dropped to 86.13% this week.
I was afraid of that.
I might get back to 87% or so with actuals. I think a 20% drop for Eclipse on Sunday is optimistic.

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
Woo-hoo! I got 90.13% overall accuracy for this past week's game; I'm ranked #2 out of 474. That's the highest I've ever been; my previous highest rank was #9 for both the November 6, 2005 game and the June 20, 2010 game. (If the link below does not take you to the game played by "Trekker," then it is not mine.) http://www.boxofficemojo.com/derbygame/derbyuserentry.htm?userid=5378&game=436

Wow. My best placement yet. I expected this would be a good week for everyone so I didn't expect #20 finish. Awesome!

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
I didn't expect a Top 10 ranking this weekend. Nice little surpise there. We'll pick up a little ground on the yearly charts this week. Congrats TrekFan1, SolC9, Casey, Evan, be.redy, BJ, and xiayun. Very good week for KJ.

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
I didn't expect to place in the top 10 either, let alone #2.
And big congratulations to SolC9, MGCasey, Omni & Corpse, be.redy, BJ, xiayun, Proud Ryu, and everyone else from the KJ forum who did well in the Derby this week.

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
Congrats TrekFan1! Great work.
A little disappointed with my own performance since it wasn't really a hard week, but glad to be finally more than 100 points clear of Gopher in the yearly race. A little breathing room is always good, with the leaderboard as stacked as they are.

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
Yeah, so I had the worst weekend of my predicting life last weekend (75% for July 2-4, first time below 79%). This weekend was passable (85%) but not much better. I've been in a slump, and Xia keeps gaining on me.

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
Ouch. 78.52% with estimates. What happened to the holdovers? Specifically films that had been holding up pretty well... Toy Story 3, K&D, and Karate Kid. Weird.
Predators hurt too, but it's drop isn't really surprising.

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
Derby is going to be mostly decided by the bottom 2 which dropped loads of theaters. I didn't learn the lesson from Twilight weekend. Can't help but think TS3 lost 3D to Despicable Me (hmm.. poem potential).
