 Re: Best Supporting Actor Nominees
Hmm, when was the last time a sub-$2 million grosser won a major Oscar?

 Re: Best Supporting Actor Nominees
Pollock is the closest example I could think of, where it had two major noms, and Harden, who wasn't even predicted much for a nomination, came from behind to win at the end.

 Re: Best Supporting Actor Nominees
I'm beginning to think Stanley Tucci could be nominated for Julie & Julia and not The Lovely Bones. Would lend more credence to Meryl being a frontrunner, as well, kind of like when Denzel propelled Ethan Hawke to a nom for Training Day.

Nah, Tucci's getting in for The Lovely Bones.

 Re: Best Supporting Actor Nominees
Matt Damon "Invictus" Woody Harrelson "The Messenger" Christopher Plummer "The Last Station" Stanley Tucci "The Lovely Bones" Christoph Waltz "Inglourious Basterds"
I think SAG has it right with this five. Could still see Molina having a shot but have no idea who he could replace at this stage.

 Re: Best Supporting Actor Nominees
I still think with The Hurt Locker getting traction, Mackie could pull a surprise nom here instead of Plummer or Tucci.
