New York. I don't hate it, but I find it bizarre and almost removed from the reality most around the world live in. Which will probably upset my friend dolce, but to me NY is like it's another country.
The last time I visited I got anxiety just walking around it. I don't know, maybe it's that I had such a small scale upbringing in small town America then a small town in the West Indies, but NY is overwhelming to the point of making me want to flee in horror. And I'm talking about the good areas, not even getting into the bad areas.
Recently, a few months ago, Tom Wolfe said he was sitting around a dinner party in NY and a few said that if Bush won they'd go to another country. He told them they were already in one.

The funniest thing about Germany is that there is almost no trace of WWII.
It's like The Forgotten.
I've spent time visiting my family in Neu Ulm, amoung other cities and it's forbidden to speak of the war. When someone does bring it up, the response is always the same. "Oh, that was a long time ago."
Yeah, so was Woodstock.

Because if it weren't for austria I wouldn't be able to watch one of my all-time fav movies which is T-2. I dislike austria but don't hate it. It's an iffy situation on that.

I have fun mocking America just for the mere purpose to see some patriots' responses
Whoever thinks then that I'm against America is seriously mistaken because I really like the country and look forward to moving there. However, it's always fun to see overenthusiastic patriots claiming that their country is the best thing since sliced bread and by some coincidence America has most of this type, so...

Thank you. I don't care if you make a thread, but at least live (or even visit) in a place before you go hating it. I've only been here in Canada, so I'm not going to jump in and say a country sucks. Go ahead, Rusty... insult me with your worst!
