Re: Yahoo Review Thread - Wall-E, Wanted
This weekend is amazing me with the sheer amount of people that have taste (WALL-E) and amount that have none (Wanted). Good for both...although it's seeming like Wanted might be more frontloaded than we thought (especially given the surge of 11th hour marketing).

I think thats unfair, WANTED looks like the best action flick of the summer thus far, and I think both choices are strong this weekend.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - Wall-E, Wanted
Wall-E and Wanted are both heading to the 2000-2200 range. Still think $25m is looking excellent for Wall-E; and $15-16m for Wanted.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - Wall-E, Wanted
Great. So $25m would give it $about $75m for the weekend? Wanted looking good to pass $40m!

This seems to have more family demand, so the multiplier might be a little higher, but I think it'll need about $26 million to guarantee $75 million. Either way, it's looking good to be Pixar's biggest unadjusted opening.

Close battle indeed

I don't think this will come anywhere close to 25 mill OD. I think you are misreading it.

110? 100 would be as high as I'm willing to go.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - Wall-E, Wanted
I wonder if Wanted could touch $19-20m. It's looking to break 2,000 by a decent amount by night's end, and if the ratio is closer to 100, it's possible. That'd be terrific.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - Wall-E, Wanted
Wall-E up to 1882.
3 hours left, about. I'm expecting it to get to 2100 or so.
Wanted at 1822. It may get to 2000... but I don't know.
So my projections?
Wall-E- $26.5 mil Wanted- $17.0 mil

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - Wall-E, Wanted
Wanted could pass 2000 with the next update even (the last update was +180, quite big). It should hit 2300 or so I think.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - Wall-E, Wanted
Yeah, Wanted should get to 2000, no problem, considering that its late night push has been strong and there's still 3 hours left.

I'm still sticking with my projection, no matter if it gets a single more review.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - Wall-E, Wanted
Wall-E: 1,928 (200), +102, A- Wanted: 1,907 (290), +85, B+ Hm, Wanted seems to have an outside shot at the second biggest non-#1 debut of all time, no?

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - Wall-E, Wanted
I'm going lower, with $22-23M for WALL-E and $12-13M for Wanted. Wall-E should have a higher ratio than previous Pixar offerings, and Wanted will certainly be higher.
