Re: Tuesday Numbers (Hancock - $6.8m)
Hancock WOM is pretty dam good. Yahoo movies rated has A B+ with over 1,200 reviews and Fandango still has a must go with over 1,200 reviews also.

Seeing most of the Top 12 have 20%+ drops makes me breathe easier for Wall-E.

Re: Tuesday Numbers (Hancock - $6.8m)
$6.8 million for Hancock is pretty damn good. Iron Man only started an hour later and did $3.5 million, just for comparison's sake.
But the rest of the drops aren't great.

Re: Tuesday Numbers (Hancock - $6.8m)
LOL Libs!
Yep...solid # for HANCOCK - not really mindblowing. Have to see how it shakes out this weekend. Everyone says $200M is guaranteed, but I'm not quite ready to make that bet yet.
I agree with the posts about Will Smith being likeable enough, but this is getting a little annoying. There's a certain amount of cockiness that he has (saying that this will definitely be the biggest film of the year and all), that is now, let's say, less than charming. Sometimes, I think he needs a bit of a comeuppance.
An bit more of a dip for Wall-E, but I'm sure just an anamoly. WOM on this is stellar - second weekend drop should be among PIXAR's best.
Think WANTED will pass $100M this weekend???

If it does, it'll be ahead of Mr&Mrs Smith!

If it does then Will Smith is a killer. He already is. And no way does it make 300. If it was well directed then yes, but now, no.

Re: Tuesday Numbers (Hancock - $6.8m)
Even with great reception, $300 million wouldn't happen for Hancock. Dark Knight would stop it dead in its tracks (just like it's going to as it is).

I doubt Hancock will do 250. Probably make 210-220. I think it will be very front loaded.

Re: Tuesday Numbers (Hancock - $6.8m)
I'm gonna say a $21m Wednesday and a $115-120m 5-day, but I really wouldn't be surprised if Hancock had a larger Tuesday-to-Wednesday % increase than TRF did; Hancock never marketed this, whereas TRF made that the focus of its marketing before its release...I mean, that really does have an influence. I asked kids I saw at class today if they saw Hancock last night, and they didn't know it was showing last night, but were all (or at least mostly) planning to see it when it opened.
