$6.8 million is very high, I would think.

Stop making stuff up. I have yet to see an overly negative crowd report and crowd reports are useless for the most part anyway. They're way too biased. A B+ at Yahoo shows decent to good WOM for the movie so far. well well see...im going to sleep. talk later.

Well, it seems that WALL-E's opening week is heading towards $94m-95m, meaning that NEMO still holds the Pixar record ($97.454.140)...

Re: Tuesday Numbers (Hancock - $6.8m)
Right now, there really is no comparison for Wall-E.
It had a low Monday drop compared to most Pixar films, except Ratatouille. It's Tuesday drop isn't THAT bad... just a little worrisome. If it drops more than 10% tomorrow, then that may be bad. But Ratatouille's first Tuesday was July 3rd, which opens up it's nightly showings. So I expect Wall-E to drop less than 5% tomorrow, if at all.

Well, I took FINDING NEMO's numbers from Independence Day Week 2003: $2,522,360 -41.1 % Monday $2,474,315 -1.9 % Tuesday $2,213,646 -10.5 % Wednesday $2,675,835 +20.9 % Thursday If from now on WALL-E behaves like NEMO (but WALL-E behaved worse than NEMO on Monday & Tuesday), the full week is headed towards $94m-$95m...

Re: Tuesday Numbers (Hancock - $6.8m)
Transformers last year did 8.8 million in sneaks and 27.8 million or so it's first full day. So something around 21-22 million sounds about right.

Will Smith is just so popular. This movie will crack 200 million but there is no way it will do 300 million.
If it does then Will Smith is a killer.

Re: Tuesday Numbers (Hancock - $6.8m)
My friends who have watched it say that the first half is awesome. The second half is solid but becomes a little drama type film and the last half has lot of cool stuff but nothing makes any sense whatsoever. It feels like shitload was chopped in the last half.

Terminator had far more upfront demand than Hancock will have.

Transformers's first full day is the day before July 4th, while it is two days before for Hancock, but the anticipation is lower too, so $21m sounds about right.

Re: Tuesday Numbers (Hancock - $6.8m)
lol, it's a joke to think $6.8m for Hancock is not good, excel. This is not some wild fanboy film that was going to get $8m+ from 7pm showings, this is incredibly good. And I've heard nothing but positive remarks from people I know who've seen it. Just because people on this site didn't like it (and, no offense, but often let their opinions reflect the audience reaction) doesn't mean that it's not getting at least decent word-of-mouth.

Re: Tuesday Numbers (Hancock - $6.8m)
W/e, well see. Soe calulaion...
T3 did 4.4 in 2 hours; HANCOCK did 6.8 in 5.
T3 did 3 times that its opening day, but had a lot more upfront demand, but less time.
I expect about 3-3.2 times 6.8 for Hancock on Wednesday, or 20.4-21.7...very similar to superman returns and war of the worlds.

KFP didn't follow the family films from 2003 either. I simply don't think we could use the pattern from 5 years ago to try to match. The best comparison for Wall-E for this week is in fact KFP. And the fact that Wall-E isn't showing much additional frontloadedness than another animated film which is already in its fourth week and expected to have an excellent hold tells me it is doing pretty good.
