I really enjoyed this from start to finish. I really dont mind DW animated films, they are nothing fantastic but i still find them enjoyable. But i thought this was a hell of a lot better than anything they have done since Shrek.
Funny, entertaining, a real treat.
Definitely one of the better films this summer so far.

found this to be ok/good but didn't have or missing the magic of other animated movies.

I kinda wanted Wall E to have the title but, first A of 2008 goes to KFP. Ya i'm shocked to, and I loathe Dreamworks. This movie had everything, comedy, action, amazing animation, great voice work, touching story. Seriously the action was better than Jumper's scenes, fuck man. Also it's surprisingly, hilarious. Jack Black was borrrrn to play Po. Loved this movie, and seeing it again next week. It's a week A, but it is an A.

Saw it again; just as funny, and I have less of a problem with its rather simple story. Simply too much fun.

Dreamworks animation really stepped it up, I'll grant them that. I've always found their CG pictures to be defined by visuals that I can only describe as ugly and unmemorable. Like, one step up from Jimmy Neutron ugly. But Kung Fu Panda looks absolutely stunning.

Too bad, then, that the movie itself is only passable. There are some laughs, notably the skadoosh, but the story is dreadfully bland and the supporting characters are so underused (Jolie had, what, 6 lines of dialogue?) they never registered. It frankly didn't feel like a complete film, so I'm surprised at the warm reception.

It wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't worth the trip to the theatre.

I quite loved it. To say it's the best Dreamworks feature yet is an understatement, it's in a different league than their other films, in terms of visuals, heart, and actually, you know, telling a story. The fight on the bridge might just be one of the best CGI sequences I have seen, it's just flawless. I also appreciated that the whole "Po is fat and stupid" thing wasn't taken overboard, in lesser films they would've made him too much of a dumbass and would've gone too far with the running into things because he's uncoordinated jokes, but in here he felt like a real character and "person".

I do agree that the voice talents were underused though, at some point you have to wonder if there was any point to grabbing these celebrities other than for marketing. It's no surprise that the best supporting voice work comes from the unknown, Randall Duk Kim as Oogway. That was the one part of the film where I felt Dreamworks was reverting to their old selves, though it's not like it hurt the product any.

While I wouldn't say it's one of the funnier animations I've seen, I did enjoy the sight gags, again helped by Dreamworks actually trying to make it look good.

It's not the best CGI film I've seen, but it's in the conversation of top notch ones. In comparison to Pixar, I think it's at least as good as A Bug's Life and Monster's Inc., and better than Cars.

Wonderfully fun animated flick. The film is very smart with the laughs and the entire voice cast does great. Plus, the animation was great and I'm anticipating the sequel. Good job, Dreamworks.

Thank god. The "Pixar" film as it stands is starting to get boring. I'm glad there is a contrast out there.

A good movie.

The story itself is pretty thin and it can't hold 80 mintues worth of movie so the comedy scenes start to repeat in their idea, just with different execution. Which would be OK if every other time they'd top the previous execution but they don't do it. Thankfully the running time is pretty short so you actually never get bored, but as the movie gets closer to its end it's not funny anymore, it's just enjoyable.

I think it would be much better if they incorporated Secrets of the Furious Five into the movie. They could've easily kept the movie length and make it much more interesting because all of the supporting characters are completely underused.

The action is really good, the film is well made. It's just a bit bland.

I caught it on a flight recently which isn't the best place to judge a film, but it was actually pretty enjoyable. On a par with Over the Hedge, which pretty much puts it as DW's best. It surprised me in being a really fun way to pass the time. Thank god i wasn't flying the next day.... the film would have been Prince Caspian

I enjoyed it very much, but it's not on Pixar level. The animation is pretty good, it's very entertaining and the action is swift, but it's still predictable, standard kids film.

What he said, word for word. It's the first film from Dreamworks Animation that Pixar probably wishes they could've got their hands on. It's easily their best film to date.

This movie is fantastic. I watched it again on Saturday and it holds up very well. It is actually hilarious; if only DW could manage to be this clever all of the time. The story, animation, action, all top notch. This is easily DW's best movie after the first two Shreks.

A generic story executed perfectly without taking itself seriously and injecting lots of fun and laughter thanks to Jack Black's turn. The animation is wonderful and holds up very well to this day.

Kung Fu Panda is actually really funny and features Dreamworks best animation to date. The message is a bit cliched but the story is told with style and the action scenes were groundbreaking for their time.
