Re: Yahoo Review Thread - 02/08/08 releases
Step Up 2 currently has the biggest male v. female review descrepancy I've ever seen on IMDB:
M: 3.3 (1309) F: 8.1 (1539)
I guess guys very begrudgingly took their dates to see that one.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - 10,000 BC, College Road Trip, The Bank
10,000 B.C. - 58 (41), C+ College Road Trip - 62 (5), B The Bank Job - 33 (7), B+ Whenever Yahoo specifically decorates a movie's page as it did with 10,000 B.C., the ratio has been lower; still the high written percentage and low total don't bode well. Pretty healthy for College Road Trip.

Totally loving this. WB's goal to turn this into next 300 got annihilated.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - 10,000 BC, College Road Trip, The Bank
Well, I went to a 6:45 show tonight and it was about 70% full in a close to 400 seat theater. That's pretty good. I'm still guessing around 40M this weekend. It would need at least 13M on Friday to get there. I think that is achieveable.

I think this will do at least 30 million, might not make 40 though.

10,000 B.C. - 489 (173), C+ College Road Trip - 266 (28), C The Bank Job - 152 (19), B I'm thinking $9m, $5m, and $1.5m.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - 10,000 BC, College Road Trip, The Bank
Last week's ratios: 10,000 B.C. - 489 (173), $12,506,898, 39.10 (13.83)College Road Trip - 266 (28), $3,536,632, 75.21 (7.92)The Bank Job - 152 (19), $1,745,510, 87.08 (10.89)So far today: Horton Hears a Who! - 292 (33), B+ Doomsday - 98 (23), C+ Never Back Down - 96 (19), B College Road Trip hadn't hit 100 yet by this point, so Horton is doing pretty well. $15m today is definitely within reach.

Dissapointing. I was hoping for a 20-23 million OD.

LadiesMan217 wrote: Dissapointing. I was hoping for a 20-23 million OD. That'd put its weekend gross at $80-90m. It only needs a $15-16m opening day for $60m since it isn't a sequel like Ice Age 2.

Robots had a 3.6 IM. I'm thinking this is probably a bit more frontloaded than that, so a 3.4 IM sounds right, simliar to the first Ice Age back in 2002. 15m OD would give it enough to break 50m OW, which is still a fantastic number. College Road Trip just had a 3.85 IM.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - Horton, Doomsday, Never Back Down
Doomsday looks to be in pretty bad shape. Should get more than what The Bank Job had, but not by much.
Never Back Down should be right in that $1.5m ballpark too.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - Horton, Doomsday, Never Back Down
I actually think that Horton Hears a Who will do better than what the yahoo thing is telling us. A lot of kids and families don't go to yahoo and start rating movies.
