Re: Yahoo Review Thread - Awake
I hope Awake is nearer the $3,000,000 range.
Then it could have a $8,000,000 weekend, which wouldn't be so bad on 2,002 theatres.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - The Golden Compass
Yahoo looks messed up today they have no ratings up for TGC and they don't even have a number listed for written reviews. I guess Yahoo is going to be useless as far as predicting this weekend.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - The Golden Compass
Beowulf isn't even the best movie in wide release right now.
I really wish Atonement and Juno had been wide openers. Having Golden Compass, Atonement, and Juno make up my moviegoing lineup for the weekend would be so sweet.

filmboy wrote: Is that good. there is not alot of reports of sell outs. It starting to look like beowulf Well, the user ratings and reviews are alot higher than Beowulf. But the sneaks are probably a big reason overall. But TGC has nearly 2x as many ratings as Beowulf had at the end of the day (692 (124)) already. Not sure if sneaks could really have such a huge increase to see that kind of difference. I don't think Beowulf is great to use though. I'd rather use Eragon, then take...idk, 15/20% (sneaks) off TGC's final number then compare them it to Eragon perhaps.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - The Golden Compass
Found Eragon, final was 666. So...TGC is already about double that, but again, because of sneaks which makes it hard, if not impossible to compare. Although, Eragon and Beowulf did have nearly identical final ratings and had very similar openings.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - The Golden Compass
The Golden Compass - 1378 (596), +131 (+27), C The grade and high percentage of written reviews (getting better) indicate a high ratio to this point, so $10m today is still in question.

I think you may have missed the :45 update by just a minute or so, because it's at 1435 now. Though maybe not? Dont know.
Also, how they heck did it go from a B to a C in ONE HOUR?? Yahoo! just being really slow on updating?
