Damn RE3 is doing way below expectations. Sony dropped the ball in both marketing as well as theatre count.

RE2 had better tv marketing campaign and bigger theatre count.

Both RE: Extinction and Sydney White saw sharp drop-offs today; in fact, Extinction only got about 500 for the day, Sydney White 140. Good Luck Chuck saw huge bump due to frontpage exposure, so hard to say anything definitive there. Eastern Promises got another 75.

I would ignore Sydney and Chuck's performance yesterday, Yahoo just doesn't seem to work on Saturday with small/average openers. I remember Disturbia getting on Saturday twice the number of reviews it got on Friday. But the collapse of RE3 is surely worrying, we may see a Saturday under 8M.

The Kingdom's review page is a full layout with clips, articles, photos, etc. A pretty neat idea. I don't think it will skew the ratio at all.

xiayun, do you see The Game Plan's ratio being closer to a 'Rock' film or peforming more like a standard family comedy? The online signs don't suggest a high ratio, but The Rock does have quite a following.

whats Jarhead's ratio? Im sure there are some who will give it a fake grade "A" review and say something like "fuck the arabs and liberals who dont support our troops blah blah" etc and the poor grades coming from the more anti-war activist

The Pacifier had a 95.77 ratio with Vin Diesel's following, so I'd go with a 70 ratio here with the trend since two years ago.

Jarhead finished with 1350 reviews (it shows the last update was 1:39am PST, but that's due to no day-light saving) and a $10.5m Friday, so not unusually high. A ratio of 100 sounds right for The Kingdom.

Hard to say about Feast of Love since it's not going to finish with many reviews; a few extra here and there could alter the ratio quite a bit. I'd say 120.
