One man does not save the world 6 times and manage to always finish it within a perfect 24 hour time-frame, where the climax happens in the last hour every time... the show has never been close to realistic.
With that being said, someone going back to work right after waking up from a coma, or the president launching the nuke to look good, isn't just ridiculous... It's lazy and stupid. U obviously did not watch this episode.
Yes, and 24 doesn't normally let their characters get away with that stuff without a little suffering. Jack did it in Season 2, and ended up blacking out in the second-to-last episode of the season, putting his car off the road. This episode is posing all sorts of health issues for Palmer. If he just started functioning normally, I'd call that lazy writing. 24 had its share of misfires this season, especially Jack's Pa, but I'm not going to call them down for something they didn't do, either.
Very strong episode. I just hope that, just maybe, the season ends well for Jack and Audrey. If not, it would be three straight seasons where Jack would be in danger/in hiding. Let the guy have a summer vacation already!!
Milo needs to go. I agree with what someone said. Nadia is a decent supporting 24 character, with potential to be a stronger character next season. But it's Milo that's dragging the storyline (and show) down. Way down. I'd probably like Doyle more if it wasn't for this extremely lame love triangle, of sorts.

You know, Jack's Father and Brother was a really good try by the writers. On paper, it was a bit of a different approach from the writers. It's probably one of the few different things they did this season, but it was a change nonetheless. It's just a shame that it didn't turn out well at all.
Doyle should be called "Chase 2.0".

Well I dont think the Father angle is done yet. Same with President Logan, we havent heard what happened to him yet. This is turning out to be an interesting season. It's gotten better ever since the assassination attempt and while its not as good as Season 5, its still solid. I knew Audrey was alive, no way would they kill her off stage.

Yeah, I wouldn't doubt that Papa Bauer is still in the picture. Same for Logan. Logan's death would be sloppy writing. The only logical explanation is that he's in critical condition at the worst.
It's definitely turning out to be a lot better. In fact, I think with another episode or two like this week, it could make a huge 180 degree turn from the first half of the season (minus Hours 1 through 4).

Yeah, seriously, I don't even know why Milo was brought back to this show. He was the most boring character in Season 1 and nothing has changed.
I miss Tony, Michelle and Edgar.

A testament to Milo's character: he disappeared for half of season one, and no one noticed!

Best part of episode was when Jack was on the truck and he yelled "DAMN IT!" So fucking amazing.
Him hanging under the truck and getting bad cellphone reception is hilarious.

Finally a great episode, best of the season imo. I was starting to lose faith in the series before this.

First, Jack saved the country from nuclear bombs. Well... except that one in Valencia. Then he saved a terrorist-turned-peacemaker. Although, he ended up dead in a presidential assassination. But at least Jack stopped the president from being injured in the blast... except for the coma... and possible long-term damage. But hey, at least no one else got hurt while Jack was in charge... except for Morris getting roughed up, his father killing his brother, Milo getting shot, Logan being stabbed by his ex-wife, and Gredenko having his arm cut off. Oh, and I almost forgot that he shot Curtis, a fellow CTU agent, in the throat.
I'm sure Audrey Raines will be just fine.

I miss Curtis. 'Tis a shame that they killed off his character so quickly.

Really worried even though last weeks was amazing, the plot twist was sort of expected and doesn't look that good.

Oh and what if Jack hadn't remembered the # Cheng gave him. I'm assuming Jack's memory is good but not that good.
Well if Jack gave his word anythings okay.

I feel like you could have missed that episode and next monday still know exactly what was going on. Seemed kind of pointless outside the palmer storyline.

After last week's episode, another fantastic episode was unlikely. But not bad.

So Vice President Evil is back in charge and giving orders that everyone but his Lady Friend and himself agree with. Again.
And Jack is rogue. Again.
And the episode was so good for the first half.

Fairly unremarkable. We're just back to where the season was a few weeks ago. As timayd said, someone could have missed this episode and not been lost at all next week.

Props to the VP for getting it on with the hottest chick on the show.

Looks like Audrey's turned into Rain Man...
Other than the cringe-worthy Chloe/Morris banter, pretty good ep. The Bill stuff was too bad.

I think Audrey is suffering some sort of break down, probably been tortured one too many times.
