Sooo tempted to watch that. But I will not! I will stay true, and watch it at 9.

AHHHH it can't get here quick enough.

*Trys to channel Hiro's abilities and send himself forward in time*

*Gets a headache*

Pretty fantastic episode, with numerous twists and a great cliffhanger. The season just keeps getting better.

He has to win. And it makes sense, the first thing Hiro tells Peter when he sees him after traveling back in time is something to the effect of "It's odd seeing you without the scar."

So we know he wins.

I can't wait to watch him beat the piss out of Sylar. Throwdown of epic proportions!

I know Sylar is evil and the character we're supposed to hate... but I can't help loving him anyway. Along with Peter & Claire, he's my favorite hero. I'm interested in seeing the fight with him and Peter -- especially since that lock of hair fell out, so hopefully he gets rid of that hideous hair cut now and can stop glaring at people through his bangs. Sylar and Peter essentially have the same power, so I'm guessing one of them is going to have to die. More than likely, it will be Sylar, which is unfortunate because I really love his character.

Anyway, I really liked the episode. The Nikki/Jessica storyline didn't even bug me this time either.

Not a huge fan of the episode. Niki, Nathan, and Mohinder(I hope you die) still give me zzzs, and this was pretty much them all episode. Still good tv though.

I was hoping Transformo-bitch would have more depth than simply being, well... a bitch. Heroes is a quality enough show that I would've expected them to give layers to their characters, so far she seems very one-noted. We'll see though.

You'd think Claire would be more stealthy after escaping the Haitain, she went straight to the guy she mentioned she wanted to live with! At least keep hidden in New York while looking for Peter, don't show up at his door. Ergh.

Hiro hasn't been doing much lately, he's fallen below Peter/Bennetts/Matt/Invisible Man in terms of the top tier, IMO.

Sad to see Isaac die soon. I liked him a lot. The fact that he is still to have his head sliced means Syler isn't dieing in this confrontation, though I think that was pretty obvious already. The big showdown will happen in the season finale, I'm sure.

April 23rd is a longggg way away. I wish they didn't end it on a total cliffhanger with a 1 1/2 month hiatus, annoying bleh.

Last night's episode was amazing.

I don't know how this happened, but I'm going to say Heroes is the second best TV drama at the moment, behind only Grey's Anatomy. Only my opinion, of course.

Malcolm McDowell is still awsome, love the casting of all these powerful characters in the film. George Takai, Malcolm McDowell, and Eric Roberts.

LOVE when the show goes into that horror-esque aspect, like in the end of last nights episode, pull it off really well and make it as intense as possible for a show on NBC.

I've seen three of the last four episodes (Still need to watch last night's). The first one was rather ho-hum, the second one was a massive improvement, the the third was not only the best episode of the series, but one of the best episodes this season. The Bennet plot was becoming frustrating as it had been Claire vs. Dad for a while, and the thrill is taken out when one guy has a person with the ability to erase minds. So to see a guy with so much power trying to save his family while keeping his job made for some riveting television. Jack Coleman acted the HELL out of this episode, and any recognition by the Emmys would be so very awesome.

Speaking of the Emmys, I think the show might be too pulpy for them, and it doesn't quite have the universal acclaim Lost and The X-Files did in their big Emmy seasons. It's certainly a contender though.

I can't describe how much I like this series.

Love pretty much everything about it. The only thing that I hope will get better soon is the whole Nikki/Jessica story. It simply doesn't tie in as well to the other storylines. All the rest is excellent. Sylar is the best TV-villain to come along in a long looooong time. McDowell's Linderman is great, in the few minutes he was on-screen, he simply captivated me. Coleman's Mr. Bennet is great as he has turned from a character I loved to hate to a character I root for very much. The chemistry between him and Claire was great.

Hiro is still as great as ever, but as some other characters evolve, he doesn't stand out as much as he did at the beginning. Peter is becoming a formidable lead. Can't wait to see him face off Sylar. Now I think I realize what "Future Hiro" meant when he said that he looks different without the scar. He probably meant the scar that he'll get from Sylar's little "surgery". The Haitian is a character that I am looking forward to being more explored. The Invisible Man is awesome.

^ You know what, yeah now it suddenly clicked to me regarding the scar comment.

At least Sylar gave Peter some much-needed haircut.

2007 Paley Festival Recap: HEROES

Tony Potts: How do you avoid the backlash LOST has faced, where it seems to take forever to get any answers?

Tim Kring: We had the advantage of coming along after some of these shows and seeing the frustration level that the audience had. We were able to maneuver our show in a slightly different way. We also didn’t start with a single enclosed idea of being trapped on an island. Ours is a much bigger and broader premise.

AUDIENCE QUESTIONS
This show is always compared to LOST in terms of the serialized nature. The big worry for LOST fans is that the show’s ratings will go down and the show will be cancelled before the big mystery is revealed. If that should happen, do you have an endgame in case things go south.

Tim Kring: The shape of the show and structure of the show is fairly different from LOST. We set up this central dilemma and we will wrap up that story and move on to volume two next season. Volume two will have its own set of dilemmas, questions and bad guys. There is a sense that you can jump on and off after each volume. Obviously we’ll be continuing with some of the same characters and themes, but the central theme and story-line will be wrapped up within each volume.

Mildly Large spoilers for the rest of Season 1

SPOILERS!!!!

Quote:
The clip they showed was actually surprisingly spoiler-filled – it picks up with Nathan “Flying Brother” Petrelli having a talk with Linderman, the mysterious gangster and casino owner played by Malcolm McDowell. In the clip, Linderman is giving Petrelli some deep background on superheroes. It turns out that he has powers, and he had friends with powers (probably George Takei and Petrelli’s mom, among others); together they fought evil. Things changed over time, though, and Linderman came up with a new plan, one that would call for some shady seeming actions. The culmination of that plan is the explosion in New York City that the show has been flashing forward to all season. Linderman is engineering the explosion as a way to create world peace.

END SPOILERS!!!!

Okay, now here's my question...

Considering how successful and beloved this show is rght now, how big will be its Season 2 premiere?

I expect 20+ million viewers for sure.

nah. it's stayed consistent at 14m, a 6m increase because a premiere is too much. I can see it doing 16-18m though

I dunno Jayhawk. The Season 1 to Season 2 jump always has a tendancy to be big for these types of shows. All the hype, people who didn't watch from the start, now have time to catch up.

It really is going to depend on the type of advertising they give it (they've been awful thus far, the show took off DESPITE the advertising) and the placement. If they leave it in the current timeslot, head to head with Monday Night Football, then it will have trouble hitting the 20m Mark.

If I were them, I'd move it to Wednesday.

I've been getting bored of it recently. Might still give it a chance until the end of the season, but it better improve. The storylines are beginning to get retarded IMO. And if I hear Hiro talk one more time about his destiny.....

I've watched all episodes over the last few weeks and I'm definately addicted now. There were some pretty boring episodes after the first two, where I didn't even wanted to watch the next episode but it became better with the 9th episode, i think. From there on nearly every episode exceeded the one before. The last three episodes (16,17,18) especially were some of the best episodes of any tv-show ever, IMO.

I take Hiro as the comic relief. He's just there to be a light storyline in the middle of all the darker more dramatic stuff. You know that even if Hiro were stuck on an asteroid hurtling into the sun, Ando would appear and they'd get out of it somehow, that's the appeal of his arc for me.

I agree with pretty much all of Lecter's posts in this thread lately, from the dvd sales, to the premiere of season 2 to the longer post talking about all the good parts.
