-Dolce I looked all those up, and they do look interesting. Unfortunately, only one is available in region 1 DVD (Shangai Triad). I'll have to poke around on ebay and see if I can find an import, or region free versions.

I might be the only person on earth who didn't like Crouching Tiger. I just hated the 4 hour flashback in the middle.

I've seen a few. Heroic Trio, Bride with White Hair, Enter the Dragon, etc, and I never got THAT into them. You may like the Japanese approach better, or you may not like it at all? CTHD was excellent for its genre, but if you're not to keen on the genre (as I am not) than it really isn't going to do anything special for you.

So I'm 1 for 1.
Anyhow, I usually like action and martial arts. I don't mind when they have a lot of plot. I just thought CTHD was really slow with no real purpose at times. Perhaps thats one I'll have to give another chance someday as I only saw it once in the theater. Sometimes I misjudge a movie the first time.

The festival starts today and runs through next sunday, so feel free to pm with any questions, but its pretty self explanatory from the other threads. BTW, if you check out the flyer I made (posted in the festival announcements, one of the seven images on the montage is seventh seal.

This is a difficult one for me, cause I've seen so many foreign films.
But I prefer in most cases Italian and French films. Esecpially the ones from the sixties and seventies!
