 People are overestimating "Kong"
Okay true its from Oscar winning director Peter Jackson, but King Kong is far from a best picture winner probably. I think its going to be a good popcorn flick, not a oscar nominated movie.

Yeah, but its just a few people who seem to put it as a option for picture/director that look odd.

I don't think it really has a chance at any major awards, except for maybe Naomi Watts for Best Actress, if she ends up doing something really great in this film. Other than that, the only awards it will be nominated for are technical achievements. I don't see another Jackson film getting nominated, for the 4th year, in a 5 year span. No matter how great the film is, I doubt it will be nominated.

Naomi Watts has a great chance of being nominated....

I don't think many people are predicting it and therefore dont see how its being overestimated.
And who said Million Dollar Baby would just be a popcorn film? (Remember guys, this wasnt added to the 2004 release schedule til late late late in the year)
