That would be second (third?) greatest friday of all time! Lower the expectations, under $25m-$30m should be enough for WWW thread.
Fine. Under $30 million.

Anything under $42.5 million. To be beaten by Matrix Reloaded would be unbearably humiliating.

That definitely works.

Pirates of the Carribean 2 2379, +226, B+
405 reviews (+44).
With 100 ratio - $23.8m so far friday
With 120 ratio - $19.8m
With 150 ratio - $15.9m
With 200 ratio - $11.9m
I guess ratio should be between 100 and 200, right?

With a 1:6 written-to-overall ratio, I don't see anything close to 200.

I'm thinking around 150 for the ratio. It'll need 7,500 for $50 million.

I was expecting a ratio of written to total of 4.5. This is lower, so I'm going with a ratio of 100 now. About 7,000 reviews for 70m seems right to me.
Some comparisions include O12, Hitch, and Meet the Fockers. All of those were will under 100. Now this has the action audience to increase it, but older audiences and families will decrease it. There is no way it has anything near 150 ratio. Spider-Man had about 125 and it had two things to make it higher: A) More of a fanboy internet audience and B) A Wednesday opening. So, 120 max ratio IMO.

I'm having trouble seeing it make under $45 million today, especially with the reports from Movietickets.com and Fandango that it's selling better than any film ever. I just can't imagine how high it'll go.

There is now a direct link with a picture of depp to the user reviews for POTC2 on the new version yahoo home page. So expect the number of user reviews to go up sharply.

It hasn't had much of an effect for past movies as I remember it.

Badly clogged. If it's going at the same written reviews ratio as before it has 3,500.

Pirates 2 is going to end up with 6,000 reviews, and DP07's going to project that at $63m. I know it.

Yes, that would make sense, but actually, wouldn't a ratio of 75 make sense for 80m?
