I find this hilarious myself. It's not like they will drop her, but the amount of sigs is huge. Sign it yourself, see how high it can get.

Thats the most pathetic thing ive possibly seen....ever.
People need to leave that poor girl alone, sure shes not talented and her songs suck, but shes still young and no one that age deserves the kind of pressure shes getting.

I feel bad for her. Sure, she doesn't have the best voice, but Hilary Duff's, among others, is just as bad and no one gives her any crap about it. She doesn't deserve that kind of thing. If people hate her, don't buy her CD, and change the station when her songs come on. It's as simple as that.

At least Ashlees voice isnt as synthesized as such artists as Duff, who all sing with backing tapes anyway. I mean, people booing her at the Orange Bowl? Hmm.... Good on you America, thats it make yourself feel better by slaughtering a teenage girl in front of millions of viewers.
Although that said...the uk tabloids do that daily

Sorry, but she chose to be famous and I don't feel the least bit sorry for her.

If only.....
IF ONLY.....
If only people in general said "NO!" To this whole shitty dumbed-down manufactured, conveyeor belt genre of teen starlets/pop acts
Truly sad how
FEW PEOPLE ARE AWARE OF THE MAGNIFICENT MUSIC THAT IS OUT THERE
below the radar and settle for chart-fodder

The people expected a good half time show and what they got was probably william hung-esque singing. She deserved what she got at the Orange Bowl and Jon said it perfectly about she chose this path so live with it.

Simon Cowell commented on her:
"Why should you have to do something substandard just for the sake of being real? If it sounds better with the vocal you recorded, why shouldn't people listen to that? There's almost a witch-hunt mentality about people miming."

I am quite fed up of fans of so called rock music having this mentality that because they like rock music, then its by far the best kind of music.
In terms of accomplishment, there is no genre that can surpass classical music, sure its not mainstream but the point is, theres a big crowd of very talented musicians making music together. Rock music is more about the statement the music is trying to make, the fact its a counter to pop music and the social relevance in society.
Point and match being that to one person, a great alltime smash classic is utter crap to someone else. Only the highest calibre songs can appeal over many genres and demos, but musical tastes is always something were people are going to be deadset on their genre, and totally close minded.
But victimising a teenage girl for all the problems of pop music [hey, even some rock artists lip] is just stupid.

i think her main problem is not the fact that she sings bad or is a hack or riding on the success of of her sister or lip synching. my issue with her will always remain that she freaking blamed her band!!! i mean, you dont put blame on part of your team unless you include yourself in it, or you say there was a problem or something, you don't point a finger and say "They did it!"

im sure 107,000 signatures, of which around 105,500 are of rock music loving males, is going to make Geffen drop one of their most profitable artists in recent years.
Whatever.

If she sees the petition, it will make her upset and cry, just think if you were her. I feel for her.

I'm half and half. I feel for her, because everyone knows how it feels to fail, and most know how it feels to fail horribly. But, like others said, she chose it. Everyone makes mistakes, she just made one in front of the world.
