Despite Lame, Overly Harsh Reviews, I Predict WHITE NOISE..
I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict this movie to open this weekend at 40-45 Million and shock the holy hell out of the so called internet film critics who are nothing more than a bunch of slackers who couldn't do it any better and the other film critics who are more into bashing this for the mere sake of seeing who can outdo one another when it comes to panning a movie.. Any takers??? Believe it or not Internet Film Critics/ Movie Critics: There is an interest in this sort of subject so I wouldn't take this lightly..

It will do well... but 45 million?! Even if it has a 10K weekend (which would blow everyone away) and makes 20 million, I'd expect the total to be just a bit above that.

Absolutely Mr.Lovemerox.. I think there's gonna be alot of jaw dropping at how well this movie and it's subject matter REALLY do this weekend at the box office.. I mean, I just finished watching another commercial for it and what can I say?? There marketing this really well as a factual documentary and a sense of genuine realness that will put this over well with moviegoers.. All these lame overly harsh reviews of this are comprised of probably 1% when talking about the real world who don't surf movie geek websites and need there hands held and decisions made for them based on the internet film critics.. With that having been said: This movie is going to open bigger than everyone thinks it will and force people who played follow the leader and panning it to stay in competition with one another on who can pan it the worst and force em to take a 2nd look at how wrong they were....

Now, I said between 40-45 Million, but I think this will do much better than most will give it credit for based on the realism factor of it..

1. Micheal Keaton is in it
2. Its obviously gonna be garbage
3. Its been over marketed, way to much commercial time is very annoying and would turn people off
4. Micheal Keaton is in it

I agree with most of those. Michael Keaton isn't exactly popular, and I don't think he is capable of carrying this movie. Alot of movie websites are predicting $8-$14 million. My prediction is in the $14 million range. I don't think the mediocre reviews are going to help it much, but The Grudge did wonderfully with bad reviews so we will see. And that $40-$45 million prediction of yours is not only unrealistic, but absurd. I'm all for smoking weed whenever you want, but I think you should lay off the refur for a few days.

It's REEFER, not REFUR and YES, I think many of you don't know what the fuck your talking about when it comes to an interest, an audience interest in Supernatural type of movies like this one.. Case in point: The Grudge.. Received mediocre reviews and opened at 40 Million dollars.. Why would this be any different?? If anything, there's a more sense of realism going for this movie in a subject that has provoked alot of interest in it whether you or anyone don't want to believe it or not and that alone is NOT absurd or unrealistic.. Count on this doing alot more than 8-14 Million PinkPanther..

^^Yes it is...I can ASSURE you that this movie will not open to 40 million. I can promise you that. Although I want to see it, it will dissapoint.
Grudge had halloween, and a Ring feel to it as well, and better reviews

Exactly! The Grude has an excellent release date, and better reviews. The release date for this one isn't too good in my opinion, and the opening weekend isn't going to be very high.

Who gives a flying fuck about the release date??? It's the MOVIE in itself and the subject matter that will attract moviegoers, moviegoers who don't give a fuck about reviews and have to have their hands held and decisions made for them like pansy ass posters on these movie websites who put all there weight on reviews.... At least this movie doesn't have to copy The Ring and The Grudge to be unique on it's own and subjects like this involving the Supernatural and the REALISM to it will help this significantly at the box office..

Grudge did very well because of the release date and people were comparing it to The Ring before it came out. White Noise is coming out in Jan and has Micheal Keaton in it ( yeah I hate that guy ) It'll be another tossed out crappy horror flick like Darkness. I guarantee you Grudge and Saw would have done poorly if they were released at any other time.

I'm telling ya, you should really give this movie a chance folks and who cares whether it's not an umpteenth copy of another movie like The Ring or The Grudge?? I'd rather the movie stand up alone on it's own merits in it's REAL subject matter more than copy from another movie... I really think after this weekend, people are going to be forced to second guess there overly harsh reviews in favor of a film that perhaps REALLY is going to appeal more to an audience than teeny bop internet film nerds will refuse to give it credit for..

Its a pg-13 horror movie, obviously they are aiming for the kids. You're giving this movie way too much credit and you havnt even seen it yet.

You're even worse BKB, adoring or bashing a movie before even seeing it.
Btw, there's no chance in hell for this to open with $40m. Although i wouldn't mind it, in fact i would appreciate it.
As for The Grudge comparisson, not just had it a better release date and reviews but it was in way more theaters.

Most industry "experts" are predicting $8-$10 million for an opening.
