Adding in the West to my predictions...
Detroit over Orlando in 5 games
Cleveland over Washington in 5 games
New Jersey over Toronto in 7 games
Chicago over Miami in 6 games
Dallas over GS in 6 games
Phoenix over LA in 4 games
San Antonio over Denver in 5 games
Houston over Utah in 6 games
As for an overall projection... I think it's going to be Detroit vs. Dallas in the finals with Dallas winning it.
In the East, I think Cleveland also has a decent chance to make the finals as they should have a fairly easy path - they'd be my 2nd pick if Detroit doesn't make it. I don't forsee Chicago having a shot as they'd have to get through Miami, Detroit, and Cleveland just to make it there... I just don't see that happening. Miami is too old and banged up... they can't turn it on like last year. Toronto is too young and inexperienced to make it far. NJ could be a sleeper... they have experience, an easy bracket, and are playing well.
In the West, San Antonio would be my 2nd pick behind Dallas... I really think it'll come down to those two again. Phoenix is not a good playoff team, they don't have a shot, IMO. I'm not sold on Denver or Utah... I don't see either making it far. Houston is going to be eliminated by Dallas in the next round. LAL might as well not show up. Leaving GS as the cinderella team. They are playing really well and have done excellent against the big teams this year. Their lack of experience leads me to believe they'll be gone in the first round, but let's say hypothetically they knock off Dallas in round 1... that would give them a massive boost of confidence and who knows what could happen then?

I have the same, Dallas over Detroit in finals. 10 of the 11 teams with over 65 wins have won, I see the trend continuing.
I'm still a bit wary of Cleveland... other than this being a Cleveland sports team, it's hard to think LBJ + a bunch of role players could be serious finals contenders, they just don't have a deep enough roster. And while they got second in the EC, their record this year didn't improve any from last. I think there's a better chance of Miami or Chicago outlasting the tough bracket if it's not Detroit. Chicago has a LOT of studs on their team, Gordon/Deng/Heinrich/Wallace is a pretty deep headlining group of players... I think if anyone can beat Detroit it's the Bulls(though I still have them going down in the first round to Heat).

Gilbert Arenas:
"That’s why I’m going on the road trip, I’m going to sit right behind their bench and just talk all day. I’m going to just talk about the whole team from start to finish and try to do my part by irritating them."
Oh and he says Butler could be back for Game 3 or 4. Doesn't matter though, Cleveland walks anyways.

Ack. Had our chance in the 4th, didn't come through... we deserved to lose that one. Definitley some jitters... Graham, Bargnani played like junk, Dixon had no playing time. Our game is 8 or 9 players who can hurt and today that wasn't there. From the big players Bosh and Parker did decent, though the former was sitting with fouls too much early on and the latter just didn't take enough shots. PGs were the only ones who really excelled today, wasn't enough. NJ came through a lot today, couldn't stop them.

Can't believe Denver won that!
Phoenix got rocked in the first half, only scoring 39 points... but then turned it on in the second half

Dallas has shown it can be mentally weak last year by losing the the Heat in the finals as well as taking a fluke 4-point foul play to barely beat the Spurs in the seventh game after a 3-1 lead. I don't know if they can mentally overcome their losing streak against the Warriors. Of all my first round predictions, theirs is the one I'm least confident about (as they are my only predicted team to lose Game 1).

Warriors! I fucking love Baron Davis' beard.
Dallas and San Antonio are good company for first game homecourt losers.

Baron Davis.....ice water in his veins. Only player today that lived up to superstar status. Warriors beat Mavs when they play small ball, then Mavs go back to the halfcourt game and get beat on their game. This is just a tough matchup for Mavs, they cant shake them off, not a fluke that W's won 6 straight against Mavs.

Wow... for all the talk about the West being the best conference, the big guns certainly choked today. I don't think GSW beating the Mavs is a coincidence... they seem to have Dallas's number. I still do think Dallas will bounce back and win it, but it's likely going to be a long and hard series for them. I do hope that GSW can pull it out, though... I love to see Mark Cuban cry.
Over in the East, everything is going as I predicted. No surprises there.

Spurs and Mavs really have nothing to worry about I feel. Both teams are going to get by in six games each still. They just had some trouble today. Phoenix had their own share of trouble today and honestly I feel only won the game because Kobe got cold.
None of the lower-seeds are going to win in the Western conference.
Rockets will win their series, and they're technically the No. 5 seed. I know you were treating Rockets as the higher seed since they have the home court, but still like to correct it.
I'm certainly pulling for the Warriors to get through the first round.
