New Jersey just beat Tamp Bay in OT (Whew!), so they are still alive with a 2-2 series now (this one is turning out to be exciting).

Buffalo beat the Islanders once again to make the series 3-1. The Islanders are done.

And Rangers really smoked Atlanta, eh? I never expected such a whipe out, even if I did expect Rangers to win the series.

Rangers won't have a chance against the Sabres. Devils/Sens should be good. If Tampa wins, then they won't have a chance against Buffalo and Ottawa should beat New York.

I think he meant the first team eliminated tonight. Tonight's been hyped up as a big night because there are 3 teams that could potentially be knocked out just like that. Pittsburgh is about to reach that fate first... and both Dallas and Minnesota could be eliminated tonight as well.

Well the Pens really, really blew it. The refs gave them 6 power play opportunities, often one after another, including over a minute with 5 on 3. Yet they could barely even register any shots on net throughout the whole game. 6 shots on net in the 2nd and 4 shots on net in the 3rd.

Well, bye bye Penguins. Way to go Ottawa!

They really weren't ready for the playoffs.

I hope they take this experience and stay near the top of the leader board all year long next season, and make a better run at the playoffs.

Is Crosby staying with Pittsburgh? I don't know anything about contracts with hockey, so I'm hoping Crosby remains with them for a while.

Crosby's a restricted free agent after next season, and he'll be unrestricted a couple years after that. I'm pretty sure he'll be staying with the Penguins for a while, though.

I missed the game, but sounds like Ottawa just rolled over Pittsburgh. Sens for the cup!

My guess is the Pens will sign Crosby either this offseason or in the middle of next season. They would be incredibly stupid to let other teams even think they have a shot of acquiring this guy. And, you also don't want to have a restless 19/20 year old.

And unless I'm incredibly miscalculating the potential talent on the Penguins, it wouldn't surprise me if they made to the Eastern Conference Finals next year.
