How low can Detroit go after losing at home to the Killer Hornets who didn't even have a couple of their starters playing. I guess Ben Wallace was That important to their team.

HA! I laugh at you.
The Celts are alive and kicking. Tonight they beat the Knicks 122-118 in a defensive struggle. They've now won three in a row and go to 4-6. With the win they leap over the Knicks for third place in the Atlantic Division and are now only 1.5 back. They're also a half game back of 8th in the Eastern Conference.
The sad thing is, they should really be somewhere around 7-3. They've been in all 10 games thus far and really could've won all of them. I wasn't expecting them to win all of them of course, but at least they're competing well.
Next game isn't until Wednesday at Charlotte.

Hornets win again and now sit 7-3. Woah. Gotta eck out those close wins early and build a cushion and who knew Stojakovic would be that big a difference maker. It's Awesome.

Gawd what a game. We were that close to winning without Baron Davis, atleast our youngins showed they got stuff. Monte Ellis will be the new Allen Iverson in a few years.
Oh and Suns wont make the playoffs the way they're playing. They play like the Warriors from last year, live and die by the 3. At one point thats all they were shooting and they ended up making alot of them, thats not gonna be the case every game.

I think Phoenix is one major injury from making the playoffs, especially since the Pacific is such a hard division this year.

Toronto sucks again. Boo.
Andrea Bergnani can't do shit... yet. Why couldn't we get Lebron or Yao or something, we get the #1 pick and end up with this european asshole, gah.

Nice to see the Pistons snapping back into form with a 3 game win streak and back above .500! Talk of their demise was slightly premature. I still say they don't miss Ben Wallace as much as some think they do.
Speaking of Ben Wallace... he sure is helping them Bulls! 3-8? Yuck. That'll teach him to leave Detroit for truckloads of money!

Haha, fuck you Cleveland. How does it feel to lose to a goddam 2-8 team?
After watching Bargnani play a bit more this game, it seems to be that he just isn't touching the ball, he isn't involved in any of the plays. It's like he isn't enthused to be playing American basketball, obviously it probably wasn't any kind of dream of his as an aspiring player, unlike most draftees. He mostly plays melancholy and slow, a big pile of crap that doesn't do anything. Grr.

That's okay. We're back ahead of the Knicks for third place and only a half game out of first place. And we're somehow tied with Miami and Philly for 7th place in the Eastern Conference.
Celtics win last night beating the Bucks 111-98.

GSW beat Jazz then next game beat Spurs, INSANE!!!!!!
No Baron Davis and they were only playing with a 7-Man rotation. Just fantastic.

Could this be the finals matchup this year????
Oh, and I told everybody that Detroit would be fine without Ben Wallace, and that Chicago overpaid and would not be better. I also mentioned that Ben had attitude problems at the end of the year and I thought it was a large reason they tanked at the end. Now look at him in Chicago... fighting with his coaches and the rumor is he is very unhappy. I'm not sure what happened to Ben the past year, but he just doesn't look like the same player I knew and loved back in 2004. I'm happy as hell the Pistons didn't sink so much money into him!

Was fun seeing one other thing in Chicago win vs Knicks (the win was not one of them )...game starting, Ben wearing headband, 2 mins passed, Ben is benched. Some 10 minutes more passed, Ben is back - with no headband.
Apparently, Bulls have a team rule of no headbands (a bit silly rule to me), and Ben blatantly broke it. Skiles with no second thoughts benched him. In those 10 minutes, couple of assistant coaches had to talk with Wallace...
Also, one thing that might've 'pissed' Wallace was that before signing contract, he asked Skiles of some intern rules and such, and Skiles said nothing, and then some minutes after he signed it, he was told of this rule.

I heard about the headband thing, but I get the feeling there is a lot more going on too... I know he's also upset that they won't let him play music in the locker room before the game (something the Pistons always did), and it doesn't sound like he is getting along with his teammates as well either.
According to the Pistons, Wallace is still calling his ex-teammates to complain about his situation with the Bulls. I don't believe the Bulls organization is too happy that he's calling a rival team and telling all.
As for the headband issue... I think both sides are being idiots. If Ben want to wear a headband then let him... you pay the man $60 million, but won't let him wear a headband? Also, they know that is his trademark and use his image with a headband in their own publicity. As for Ben... they're paying him $60 million... if somebody wants to pay me that much I'll play wearing whatever they want me to... a pink thong and cowboy hat? Give me the check, and it's no problem!

After wining 8 in a row, the Pistons lost back to back games to the worst team in the East (Char), and then the worst in the West (Port). They follow that up in their next 2 games by beating the best team in the West (Dallas) and the best team in the East (Orl).
All I know is they are far better than the Golden State Warriors at this point.

Toronto is still .5 back, could've taken sole lead of the division tonight if it weren't for those damn Bulls. At least it was close, with Bargnani they could've won.
Oh, I'm thinking the Knicks will pick up Iverson by the way.

I doubt Sixer are interested in taking those fat contracts out of Knicks hands for some players that never lived up to their hype/expectations
Im thinking a 3-way team deal will go down. Just dont know what other two teams will be involved.

Quote: NBA Notebook | Iverson's days as a Sixer numbered
PHILADELPHIA  The Allen Iverson era with the 76ers appears to be over.
About three hours after Iverson issued a statement Friday night saying "a change may be the best thing for everyone," Sixers chairman Ed Snider said that Iverson asked to be traded and that the team would try to accommodate him.
"We're going to trade him," Snider said in a corridor of the Wachovia Center at halftime of the Sixers' game against the Washington Wizards. "I think it's time for him to move on, and for us to move on and find out where everything stands."
Although he indicated that he did not want to tolerate more disruptions from Iverson, Snider said he wanted to remember Iverson's good times with the Sixers, including the trip to the 2001 NBA Finals, in the season Iverson won the NBA's most-valuable-player award.
"He's one of the greatest basketball players of all time," Snider said. "I'm not here to [disrespect] him in any way, shape or form. It's just time for him to go his way and for us to go our way."
Snider spoke after it was disclosed that coach Maurice Cheeks had told Iverson to stay home for the team's next two games, citing the fact that Iverson sat out the fourth quarter of Wednesday night's blowout loss to the Chicago Bulls and missed Thursday's practice.
In a statement released Friday night from Iverson through his agent, Leon Rose, the All-Star guard said he was ready to practice but was not allowed to participate at the team's shoot-around on Friday morning. Cheeks disagreed, saying Iverson could not participate because of his back injury.
Iverson did not flatly demand a trade, but the unhappy tone of his statement was clear.
"As hard as it is to admit, a change may be the best thing for everyone," Iverson said in the statement. "I hate admitting that, because I love the guys on the team and the city. I appreciate that in my 11 years in Philadelphia, the fans have always stood by me, supported me, and gone to bat for me."
However, one NBA source told the Philadelphia Inquirer, "He wants out. He doesn't care where he goes."
The New York Daily News reported the Knicks were expected to make a bid for Iverson, but a source close to the 76ers classified the Knicks as a longshot. Boston, Indiana and Golden State have emerged as candidates to acquire Iverson, who has three years and $60 million remaining on his contract. Denver and Minnesota are other possible suitors.
The Sixers are likely to try to include Chris Webber in a deal with Iverson as a way to reduce their payroll.
In his statement Friday, Iverson said being told that he couldn't be with the team was "disheartening."
"In my entire career, even the doctors haven't been able to tell me not to play," he said. "I've played through injury and illness. I think everyone knows how much I love being out on the court competing and winning. That's why it was so disheartening to be told that I couldn't play, knowing that I was ready. It hurt even more to be told not to come at all."
Warriors seem to ALWAYS be attached to any trade rumor. I wouldnt particually mind to see that, Baron Davis and Troy Murphy and some pick at the draft for AI?
It'll for sure be something with Baron Davis if this goes down. I do feel we have better trade values then Boston and Indiana. Minnesota and Denver would have to give up Melo or KG to get a deal going and no way in hell that happens.
