Pistons frequently got outrebounded when they had Ben Wallace. I think their loss the other night was more because Tayshaun and Sheed were a combined 3 for 22 from the floor.
But, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a tad concerned. However, I think their few losses have been more from apathy then lack of talent. Also, Flip is playing the bench heavily early on, which is much different than last year's philosophy of playing the starters for 90% of the game. Hopefully the extra experience for the bench, and the added rest to the starters will pay off in the later part of the season.
Anyhow, it's hard to judge early in the season, especially considering that the Pistons have played most of their games on the road, and are in the middle of a long west road trip. Their game against Golden State should be an easy win.

That's to be expected early in the year. Remember the Pistons went 35-5 to start the season last year, whereas the Miami Heat sleepwalked the entire first half of the season to a less than stellar record, only to end up thumping the Pistons in the ECF. So, a fast start means very, very little.

that's true, but it seems like the cavs play down to their competition when they play inferior teams, and they have to start taking care of business against teams like the hawks and cats, although the hawks are playing very well against everyone so far.

Awwww Mavs won.
Glad to see GSW beat Hornet today and Baron Davis showing he's a leader. Very encouraging to see them play well even with JRich not being 100% healthy ( didnt even play tonight actually )
Man, it's gonna be nice seeing GSW beat Pistons Saturday. Pistons will have to face the Lakers tomorrow then Warriors Saturday, back to back games are never fun for a team.

Pistons thump the Lakers... but, that's just the appetizer. The GSW will be the main course.
I'll be looking for you on TV, Kill. Every 12 year old wearing a Mike Dunleavy jersey will make me think.... "was that Kill?"

Those were great! Mike Dunleavy is the coolest. And by coolest, I mean stupidest.
Some players can pull off the temper tantrum (like Sheed), and some just can't. Dunleavy definitely falls into the latter category.

I can't believe the Celtics are going to lose this game. They're down by 5 with 1:18 left to go in the 4th after being up by 25 in the third quarter. If they don't win this game, they don't deserve anything higher than last place.

Out of all the games for the Pistons to get their ass handed to them. Now I won't hear the end of this all year...

It's an odd start to the year... all the big guns have sub .500 records... the Heat, Pistons, Bulls, and Mavericks all have less than impressive records to start the year. I doubt it'll stay this way, but who would have guessed?

Like I said... it's a weird year. Not only do all the good teams have bad records, but all the sucky teams (Cavs) have good records! Life just doesn't make sense anymore.

Couldn't believe Rockets blew that game against Spurs. Yao was about to put three mighty impressive games in a row before the collapse, and I was keenly interested to see what Barkley is going to say tonight.

Another solid win from the Warriors, brought the Kings back to earth after having a nice win streak.
Soon will be able to say Warriors are the best small ball team in the league.

You're a smaller man than I... I would never have rubbed it in. I'm not like that.
The East is bad, but how bad must the West be to have Golden State as one of the better teams?
