so Boston wins Matsuzaka sweepstakes

NAPLES, Fla. (AP) -- The Boston Red Sox emerged Tuesday night as winners of the bidding for Daisuke Matsuzaka with a $51.1 million offer and have 30 days to sign the Japanese pitcher to a contract.
From what I read this really isn't too bad a deal as this will also lead to lots of advertising television and marketing $ for the Red Sox. The only problem is that agent Boras will probably only agree to 3 year deal so that he will be a unrestricted free agent at 29. So if you figure 50 and another 40 million maximum that means 30 million a year for 3 years. Lets hope he is great.
